There''s all sorts of other stuff on the iPod (god I love that lil'' gadget), but just not in the mood for it today.

I always like Greg Howe, Vai, Malmsteen, and Jason Becker more than Friedman. He always seemed a it too ""typerwritery"" if you catch my drift-tons of speed, very little soul.
But that''s just my personal opinion.
Maybe his newer stuff is better.

They most certainly do. I picked up Love Like Blood on a whim since it was dirt cheap and I had heard Nirvana ripped them off something fierce on Come As You Are. (Very true, btw. Makes it kind of funny that Grohl was drumming on their last album.) Definitely going to pick up more of them.
Written to the sound of Archives of Pain and P.C.P by the Manic Street Preachers.

I picked up my first Killing Joke album after hearing Metallica''s cover of ""The Wait"" on Garage Days Re-Revisted... they''re fantastic live, too. Wish they had visited my part of the world on their last tour

I never minded piracy. Anyone who minds about piracy is full of sh*t. Anyone who pirates your game wasn't going to buy it anyway! -Warren Spector
I like Friedman''s music, especially ""Introduction"" because that one is quite calm and melodic, and not only focussed on the guitar parts. Malmsteen is hit''n miss to me. I absolutely love ""Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E Flat Minor Op. 1"", but some of his hardrock compositions are rather abysmal and ruined by downright awkward lyrics. Still, anything he does that comes close to classical music is great.
I dig Satriani, of course. Happen to own almost any album he released. I also had the chance to attend at one of his concerts over here last year. As for Vai, he made some really decent tunes, but there are also a certain kind of composition I''d consider as experimental. A bit too abstract and more focussed on showing what kind of sounds he can create with the guitar, however, that isn''t necessarily melodical, IMO. Same for Matthias Eklund. I also own two Becker albums, it''s a shame that he isn''t able to play guitar anymore.
Cantamus - Summer Song, off of the Aurora album. Great choral music. Mmm, choral.
