WoW - Blackhand Alliance - Schedule Week of 10/29

In the interest of moving forward and making sure that guild night/activities include the up and comers, I want to continue making a post each week to discuss where and when we would like to get together.

I would like to see a group go and explore DM again. I am also on the Jailbreak portion of BRD with things to do in the bar. PLus, doing/seeing an Emporer Run in BRD is one of the most fun things to do in the game. (Thumps and I playing around on the throne is a top ten fav moments)

Also, I want to invite those who are leveling furiously through the ranks to get together here and post. I have a 25 Pally, 29 Rogue, 20 Mage that would love to help out.

Calameleno/Meldbeard

edit: Yeah so I should say that I am available Wed., Thurs., Fri., and Sat. for time. Shall we DM let's say 8:00 server on Wed.?

Ok, even though I shouldn't cuz I'm neck deep in homework and books... I'm gonna re-up my account this week, possibly tonight, because it actually should give me a reason to do my homework on time and quickly... so as to play the WoW. I'm Bort by the way. I would like to get another toon up to 60 because demand for Hunter services seem to be at a low... but I do like playing the hunter.

That being said, I'd be down to see anything and I hope to be able to take part in more guild night stuff. I'm on my way to getting keyed for UBRS... so there's always that too. Anyways, hope to see you all on this week... horde or alliance... it don't matter!

You free Wed. night this week around 8:00 server time? We're going to do a loot/tribute run and familiarize ourselves with quests etc. Along with Giannino, Kyrator and Merdee, I got a key yeterday also. -Cal

I've barely touched anything higher than Sunken Temple (went to early portions of BRD once recently, that's it), so I'm throbbing with eagerness to go do questing/adventuring pretty much to any of the upper instances. I've already noted my moodiness lately, and apologize to any I've put off by that.

So don't take it the wrong way when I say that I don't think I'll be up for anything during the week this week, but Friday night is a strong possibility.

I would like to organize a Sunken Temple run for Thursday Night for my 52 Priest.

I know y'all just did one a few weeks back but here is your chance to get in good with a Priest who can heal like there is no tomorrow. Think about it, wouldn't you like to adventure with a priest who can work miracles? Gout, Scurvy, Shingles, Plague, you name it, I can cure it with a quick prayer to some unknown God. Just got skewered through the heart by some ugly Orc? Get your head chopped off by a Dragonkin? No problem, I can fix it. Hell, my ressurections not only bring you back to life but make you look and feel better.

So, who's in?

I need to get to the Library in DM. I read it's almost 'soloable', but I'm 54 and not sure I'll make 55 by Wednesday. But if I do I would like to do DM. But if not, is it possible someone can get me to the Library even at 54? I get a nice Paladin trinket for just dropping something off (thanks Kiri!). That and 8 server time is too early for me, but I'll, as I always say, try.

This is one of my questions about WoW lore: who the heck am I, as a Paladin, serving, and getting divine favors from? I've no idea. But I SHOULD know, shouldn't I? I mean, I'm not too much of a role-player when it comes to WoW, but I'd like to know this. Unless it's totally boring, in which case I might not like to know after all.

I don't believe the god the paladins serve is named. You follow the Light. I'll have to check the lore site now, because I'm curious.

Its the god of Librarians. I know what you're thinking, 'that sounds so cool!' but really all he did was invent the dewey decimal system. No one knows how that gave him godly powers but everyone goes along with it because they're afraid of what would happen if the bubble boys lost their bubble

So I guess Im not an up-and-comer till I hit 45-50 huh? wah

Everyone should look in to this. There is a book that drops in DM for each class and they get a nice FR +10 Trinket for turning it in. The Pally's is called "The Light and How to Swing It". I think you'd be fine to come along AT LEAST for that portion of DM on Wed. Donan or if you're not on I will make a special trip you and I can get in there together. Shhhh. I know the trick.

I know you're just kidding, Poly, but ABSOLUTELY NOT! You're an up and comer as long as you're not 58! I had hoped that we could get DM runs together here - that's Dire Maul and Dead Mines!

Cool, see y'all tonight!

FYI: Rogues and Druids can stealth to the turn-in location. Other chars might be able to do it with speed pots and invis potions, but I don't know if I'd risk it. As I recall, the ogres in DM-N will hit cloth wearers for ~700-800.

[edit] Oh wait... i remember now, It's doable by any char. You just need to time the run so you bypass the guard(s) and don't run into any patrolling doggies. Those ogres do hit really hard, though.

In that case, may I recommend the Patron God of Copingsaw. He is a suprisingly flexible Diety who won't impose difficult, strange, or unusual requirements upon you. I happen to know that for tribute he appreciates such things as cold Shiner Bock beer, scantily clad women (Human or Elves but for some reason not Dwarves), and funky end-zone dances after the killing of certain bosses. Really, you can't go wrong ...

Or, as promising as that sounds, might I suggest the beautiful goddess, Veloreyn. She likes soft orchestral music, taking long walks on the beach, melting the faces of nooblets, and also enjoys scantily clad human and NE women. I'm sure you'll make the right choice.

Yep. Merdee tried to take me in, but I've must of not washed my armor under clothes well enough because they kept sniffing me out over and over again. I got the message that I was doggie poop and left.:>)

BTW - yes, I'm out for the week over here...but just wanted to mention something from an old-timer perspective.

The MC and ZG runs tended to change the old ways...and I see a lot about aggro at the below 60 range. We used to have it that at 55, you were eligible to run all the 60 zones - now I know the numbers dropped, and its tougher to do that, but for those in the mid 50's, don't be afraid to ask.

Yes, a 55 warrior is a tough sell, but if you are a mage or priest or hunter or lock in the mid to late 50's, and can stay back from aggro, a well formed group of 4 other 59/60's can usually still take you along - so don't be afraid to ask.

Its even easier in the UBRS/LBRS areas

Same with a 59 in ZG...haven't really seen much issue wise with aggro, and same with 58 - you just have to play a little cautious to hold off aggro range, but you can still work it if they need numbers. I think I've seen a 55 and 56 and some 57-59's aplenty in ZG.

Main thing folks, just ask - we tend to be a mature guild, so we tend to run together well, and quite frankly, I like the challenges of running the mid levels through...makes it less of a grind (although the final boss may not always fall for you...)

Just my thoughts, and really look forward to joining back up folks...I see many good times ahead.

Unless you're running out of mana overhealing is the most worthless stat in the game. Underhealing is effectively known as "wiping".

so sayeth the Bear...

I should be there (off early for doctor's). Are we using Ventrilo or Teamspeak? I would like to request the later. I seem to have an issue with Vent' in that my voice breaks off during a conversation. I 'may' have the same issue in TS, but haven't used it alot of late, so this could be a test of it. But if Vent' is the choice of the group, fine by me. I can hear fine, just broken while talking as mentioned.

Any idea what role my 55 Paladin might have? I would know what gear (of the small choice I have of course) to wear.

Very interesting input by Pigpen to be sure(!).
