Kings Quest Remake

CGW podcast mentions an interesting anomoly. A remake of Kings Quest Three... that hasn't been sued by Sierra. Who's interested in this besides me?

Sounds cool. These guys http://www.agdinteractive.com/ have done remakes of KQ1 and KQ2 and are working on Quest For Glory 2.

Oh man, King's Quest!
I can remember playing the first one on a monochrome laptop with no harddrive. It totally sucked me in.
Thanks for the link!
Are you gettin' there Rabbit, are you gettin' there now?
Yes Lord, Lord, I'm gettin' there now.
This series got me into PC RPG games. I would get up early on Saturday mornings and play KQ1 and/or KQ2 with a friend on his PC or mine for hours.

I'll pass on the Kings Quest remakes. Give me a Quest For Glory Remake and I would be interested.

I installed this sometime during the summer and it ran like ass on my brand new, may possibly catch fire, gaming rig. I was too lazy to try to debug a game I still have on 5.25" somewhere. Though those disks probably aren't magnetized anymore.

Fact: King's Quest was the first game that truly sparked my interest in the hobby!
I still remember King's Quest 2.. finding the trident on the beach, the witch by the cave that would throw you in her pot, the rare "batmobile" spawn, and sneaking into the dwarve's tree when they weren't looking to steal their loot. Great times.

Kings Quest 1 was one of the first PC games I ever played and I was hooked on Sierra/Dynamix. Their whole catalog was so good and Im pretty sure I played every single old game they had. Quest for Glory 2 was a work of art. I'd love to play a remake of that. I still consider Krondor to be the best RPG ever. Planescape: Torment is very close, but the combat in Krondor puts it over the top in my mind. I'd kill for a Krondor remake, though the original version is free-ware. Not sure how well it runs on modern machines.
Robin Hood: Conquest of the Longbow was another great one.

I've actually been playing this King's Quest III remake. It's very well done and now they've released a voice pack for it. I also found it surprising that Sierra allowed it in light of how they're releasing those abomination collection packs now. They did cease & desist these guys once, but far uproar got them to back doen and give the project their blessing.

All 3 remakes are great! if you tried the new KQIII when it came out, try downloading the new version. Lots of bug fixes and the voice pack is available for it as well.
