Sweet. News I was expecting. Not as exciting as I thought.

Yeah, the hype around the Wii seems to dip at the moment. I think it has to do with the lost mythical imago by the gameplay movies. It used to be all about rumors and speculation, but now we have hard facts. But still looking forward to have somebody else buy it and give it a spin.
I don't watch, I interact!
I don't see a reason to preorder the Wii, should be plenty on shelves. One of the three EB's I spoke to yesterday said they were getting 50+.
I am waiting to see what the GWJ folks with real reviews think about it before I decide.

I'll let you know how it goes. I'll be getting one at launch. I haven't decided which game(s) I'll be getting yet, but I'm eager to see where Wii takes gaming. If the worst case scenario is that I'll have the new Mario Cart, then I can deal with the ~$250 loss. I've purchased PC's and pricey vid cards for highly anticipated games in the past, which makes spending a meager $250 seem like small change.
My friend is already adamant about pre-ordering his own Wii, so I have guarenteed access to one on launch. I already swore that I wouldn't pick one up until at least Smash Bros. is out next year. The only thing on the launch lineup i'd be interested in actually paying money for is Zelda, but Okami is currently keeping me company and should fill my craving for games of its ilk until the year is out.
