Just noticed that Steam is offering Introvisions next game for preorder atm for $10 which is a steal. They also added some new games from Majesco in the form of Psychonauts (yay!) and Advent Rising (boo!).

My days of not taking you seriously have certainly come to a middle.

I am so there for Defcon.

I had little interest in this game, but then I saw this thread and happened to have memorised my credit card number.

How weird is it that I'm going to use Steam to buy Defcon, and I don't even own HL2, yet? Tee hee!

anybody able to buy it? I click the purchase link and get an error message about the subscription being invalid.

Added: Nevermind. Restarted Steam. Problem solved.

I thought it was 8 people.

Edit: Wikipedia says six players.

Ordered. I bought the Darwinia/Uplink deal from Steam last week, I have been having a lot of fun with Uplink, haven't had time to try Darwinia yet.

I preordered it last night and this morning it took me a little while to recall that I'd done it.

Trowan, Darwinia is awesome, really draws you in. At least, if you remember 1980's games like Populous it does. It's retro in looks, but unique in gameplay.

Steam is really turning out well. I love the selection of games - I just got the whole PopCap catalog, we like puzzle games occasionally. I have probably bought 2/3 of my games on this system via downloads, and I'm quite happy with the providers. Gamersgate and Steam are the best I've seen.

Pre-ordered with Introversion directly. Much as I like Steam as a delivery system I'm doing same as I did for Uplink and Darwinia by going direct. For £10 I get to download it on the day and also have my precious boxed copy, free of Steam constraints I believe. Definitely ready to get my arse handed to me in a new strategy game

I saw the INtroversion offer after I ordered online. I was quite annoyed. However, I saved about £5 or £6 on the boxed copy.

Heh c'mon, I'm sure they wouldn't mind you pre-ordering a boxed copy too Have to admit I never even opened my Darwinia box, still wrapped in polythene to sate my obsessive collector habits haha.

I'm in on this one, although, as a side note, I never got into Darwinia, and I was pretty much done with uplink by the time the demo was done.
