School Shooting: Dawson College, Quebec

In Montreal, there was a school shooting sometime this afternoon. MSNBC just showed somebody being rushed down the street to an ambulance, and people running out into the street, orderly but very quickly, alternating with camera shots of police crouching behind corners. The newsie said there are 4 people shot by (unknown) gunman.
The gunman shot himself just a couple of minutes ago. Hopefully he put the barrel in his mouth.

Nope, it is, more or less, a college (CEGEP, if you want to be specific). It's what comes after high-school in the province. This news is truly sad, and reminds me of the Polytechnic shooting on December 6, 1989 when a gunman entered the university and killed 14 women. Sad how these things stay ingrained in you, but can be reawakened so quickly.

This is indeed a tragedy, though if you think about it, the t-shirt that jedi was referring to is the actual source of crassness - at least, in my opinion. Both trivialize this sort of violence, but for some reason, everyone thought the t-shirt was funny and okay.
And I don't mean to pick on jedi here, because since I first saw that t-shirt yesterday, it was fresh in my mind and one of the first things I thought of...I just thought better of saying so.

I really can't manage to comment on this story in any capacity, in a declaration or a question without going straight P&C on all of your asses, so instead, i'll note that this is a tradgedy, and I wish the gunman were alive, if only to be beaten. Hopefully further investigation will give the authorities and families some answers outside of "TEH VIDEO GAMEZ"

Even worse, one of the Toronto papers (the Toronto Sun) headlines on the front page "Video Game Killer". Here we go, that took less than 24 hours to make the ridiculous connection, because he mentions games in his website.
A few months ago, some street racers killed a cab driver, and the media focused on the fact that he had a copy of Need for Speed in the car.
He also ate breakfast and liked women too.
Why can't some people just be asshats?
