Ok, last weeks inaugural run with the Killer B's went well. For those who missed it we did a DM tribute run. Well, we would like to run again this Thursday night 9:00 pm PDT. We know it's late for most of you Guildies, but we live out west and we're hoping at least 2 if not 7 of you will come along with us. We're open minded as far as destinations go.

So, full moon, updated server, a band of merry men, ...
what more could you ask for?

The Killer B's:
-Bagman, 60th human priest
-Blastoff, 60th human warlock
-Beowoof, 60th human warrior

Booze and Hookers?

We can try another DM tribute if we want to get the mats together (I can provide the Fost Oil). Kyrator said he was interested and he can pick locks. If we get it down smooth we could even run it twice - should take 45 minutes or less each run with no wipes.

Strat/Scholo are always options but they take a little longer (although I could use the AD rep).

Alas, I am an east coaster. That would be getting started at midnight, which I don't think I can do.

Now, I'm thinking I need to get on track with General Drakk (hey, that rhymes, don't it?) and collect blood. I understand that I need to get the Orders first from Overlord Wyrmthalak, then get the quest from Marshall Maxwell. So, is Overlord Wyrmthalak in upper or lower BRS?

But if we cannot get 10, I'd vote for Strat dead side (Balzaphon, here we come) or Scholo run (I've only been to the first set of mobs, then wiped). AD rep plus Warlock drops that I need to get.

And, Blastoff notes with satisfaction, Beowoof has reached 60, so he won't be triggering aggro out of nowhere!

C'mon and join the party!

How about, if we are only five, start with a tribute run and if it goes great (<60', no wipes') we take our super buffs and run Strath or Scholo?

-Beowoof

P.S. I got plenty of true silver keys and some rune cloth that I can give to Blastoff for bolts but that's all the stuff I got.

P.P.S. "booze and hookers" Deep, have you already gone through all that booze you picked up in DM last week? For shame.

And if we want set the bar real high, maybe we use our tribute run buffs to attempt a 45' rescue in Strat?

Ohhh, wouldn't it be sweet?

FYI, you missed the boat on Balzaphon by a few months. He was only around during the scourge invasion (unless the snuck him back in) and he was in the no man's land between the two sides. You could check, but I'm almost certain he's gone. He did drop a nice staff, though.

Fuzzyb, I am saddened by your news of Balzaphon, another killer B. He was kind enough to drop his staff for me but I was hoping to go back and get the Chains of the Lich. Alas, woe is me...

I guess I'll have to get Rivendare instead. He owes me some leggings...

Guys, I have delusions of grandeur now that I'm 60th level and would love to try this:

True wow Gods could probably pull this off in less than 2 hour but just trying it could be a lot of fun.
Maybe not this week but something to aim for. Oh, think of the glory

1. DM Tribute run, immediately followed by
2. Baron 45 run

Okay, if we are going to do another tribute run, we need:

Trap Repair items:
1 x Frost Oil – Made by Alchemist
[Deepsea's got it, are you coming?]
1 x Thorium Widget – Made by Engineer
[buy at auction? ]
Gordok Ogre Suit Items
4 x Bolt of Runecloth – Made by Tailor
[Blastoff ?]
8 x Rugged Leather – Gathered by Skinner.
[Bags do we farm this as we go? ]
Note: Lots of wolves inside instance that can be skinned for rugged leather as well.
1 x Ogre Tannin – Found in Dire Maul Instance
[pick up along the way ]
2 x Rune Thread – Purchased from Vendor
[Blastoff can you get this?]

Of this, I only have runecloth and True silver keys. I can go to AH and buy widget unless anyone knows a friendly engineer.

I should be able to provide the rugged leather.

I've got plenty o'runecloth and rune thread. But, we're getting a little ahead of ourselves. We need one more to make it a party (Deepsea appears to be in, reading between the lines at the top of the thread).

Anyone else interested? DM Tribute run appears to be the call at the moment; the Bs are flexible, however, if other GWJ members have other priorities for instances. 10 gets UBRS run fo' sure.

Well, since it looks like we are only four so far I went ahead and cross posted to the TOF site to see if we can get a fourth or tenth (hey I can dream can't I) for tomorrow night.

I have the trap materials covered.

I want to point out something about going outside the guild to fill parties. We have an agreement with ToF but we are also a part of the SGA. It would behoove you to make friends with people in both organizations.

Our agreement to run 20 man raids with ToF has been very successful and I see nothing but good things to come out of it. They are a fun group of people and we are learning each others playstyles well. If you intend to join the 20 man content with our group then get to know some of the members there.

We've been a part of the Small Guild Alliance has been for a very long time and we have had a number of successes with this organization. There are a number of very helpful, freindly, and skilled players here. If your ultimate intentions are to attend 40 man raids within the SGA it is highly reccommended that you begin to assoiciate yourself with members within the alliance early - i.e. not when your 60 and think your ready to raid.

There are great players and great people within both these organizations - We are lucky to have contact with both!

Deep, I'm still a long way off from worrying about end-game raids, but reading these forums has led me to believe that the SGA maintains a membership list of players from within its member guilds, and that they are not currently many applicants...?

I ask because I do want to someday go on some 40-man raids, although I doubt I'll ever be able to do so more than once or max twice a week.

I'm going to post something soon to highlight this a little better. But just a quick response here Fed. Yes, membership within the SGA has become a little more limited in the last few weeks. This is due to the fact that we've come to a point were the raids consistently fill up. The bottom line is this: if you want to raid 40 man content in the SGA you cannot afford to wait until you're level 60 to start getting to know some players there. You need to do a /join NewSGA and get in the channel. Need to fill a party? Check here first before you go to LFG channels. Meet players in the other affiliate guilds, chances are some are going to be alts of raiding 60's. If you get to "raiding eligible" levels and want to get accepted in to the SGA I need ammunition to be able to reccomend you. If I or one of the other GWJ Officer's reccomend you and theres a general feeling of "who the heck is that?" then it looks bad. If you want to raid 40 man content - Get to know people in the organization - early and often.

I wish I had paid more attention to this stuff before hitting 60. I'm so used to soloing and duoing with Dragonfly that I never really look very hard for groups outside the immediate guild.

Now I'm 60, and I'm raiding ZG with ToF, but I have zero exposure with the SGA members. I'll have to start working on that, I spose.

I'll have to join that chat channel and see what happens. I've actually never used the LFG channel, either. If you do a write-up on the status of SGA and our affiliation with them, individual membership, etc., I'll look forward to reading it.

The curse of the full moon ?
A quest too far?
Not enough mojo to gogo?

Whatever the case the Killer B's and Company were more like the bad news b's (early in the movie):
we just didn't have it going last night, so we packed it in after some early wipes in Scholo.

On the bright side, we again assembled a great group for a late night (9pm Pacific) start and sounds like we might have made a connection with a TOF nightowl. This is important if we ever
hope to build up our numbers on Thursday nights to do a 10 man raid (UBRS here we come:)

Anyway, thanks to all who made it, hope to see you online soon and again next week.

All hail Pack Leader Deepsea,

I'm sorry we couldn't make it in any further guys. Scholo is one of the tougher 5-man instances with some challenging pulls and difficult fights. It's also a very long instance if your wiping frequently. We were still 2 rooms away from the first sub-boss, Rattlegore. When you get closer to Gandling there are 4 sub-bosses that you need to take before Gandling even appears. There's also that Lich boss in the Alchemy Lab and Jandice Barov. I think there may even be a couple more sub-bosses in there.

Anyway, I think perhaps we should look at making a few more DM runs to get geared a little better before we venture into Scholo more. It might even be a good idea to just run through a couple quests like the EPL quests with Tirion Fordring. That ultimately leads to Live Strath and will net Beo the Ornate Adamantium BP and a Nice caster ring for Bags and Blast.

I am all for more lower runs. That was a bit painful. Also, a bit more DPS would have been helpful (now that I am heal and not shadow specced). Still, it was fun banter.....
