Heat Vision and Jack is a failed Pilot directed by Ben Stiller from '99. Thanks to YouTube this little treasure will not be lost forever.

It stars Jack Black as a super intelligent ex-astronaut with a twist. He's only smart... by day. Owen Wilson plays the voice of his motorcycle. The two are on the run from NASA's agent sent to kill them, Ron Silver, the actor. Seriously, the guy plays himself.

I can't make this stuff up. Forget Firefly. The network excecs really screwed the pooch when the let this slip between their greedy fingers.

How come when the sun was rising, the light through the window on the prison wall was also rising? How am I supposed to suspend my disbelief with that going on?

It gets points for Tom Jones though.

Got any toast?

I agree with Gaald. Awesome, yet worthy of the MST3K treatment.

I stood behind Danjo's chair for the majority of this show. I couldn't pry myself away knowing that at any minute that motorcycle would start talking and it would be the funniest thing I've ever heard.

That looks like they could've stuck it between Matthew Star and Knight Rider in the 80s and done really well.

Oh yeah. Or it could've gone before Manimal.

Awesome.

It plays the whole episode for me, not just 10 minutes. Weird.

On the bright side, if Heat Vision and Jack had happend, then there probably would not have been Wedding Crashers, or School of Rock. But if Heat Vision and Jack had happend, there would not have been "You, Me and Dupree" or "Nacho Libre".
