Sad News
Friday, July 14th, 2006 - 11:23am
My name is Jane Massey, my husband has been a member of this forum for over three years and was known as One_of_47 or Just Joe.
Joe died last night at the age of 38. He contracted Legionella bacteria and was hospitalized last Friday with double pneumonia. He was on a respirator and yesterday his heart just gave out. Our family is in complete shock. He left behind a little 7 yr old boy.

You have my deepest sympathies and condolences. A coworker just contracted some virus that attacked his heart and is still in the hospital, so this is an odd time all round.

I don't think there are enough words in the language to describe how sorry I am to hear this news. I cannot even imagine how hard it must have been for you to post this, much less prepare yourself to face the days ahead. My thoughts are with you.

Your post leaves me a bit shocked, frustrated, and sad. Please let us know if there are any ways we can help. I am very sorry for your loss and your son's loss and I wish I could help you personally in the difficult days to come.

In the back of my head, I knew something like this was coming eventually. A forum's regular user base grows large enough, eventually, sadness will stop by. That doesn't stop it from sucking.
