I've never watched one of their roasts. I might watch this one.

This one is going to be 2 hours longer than the others to account for all the dramatic pauses in speech.

But they'll be edited out for TV. I bet during one speech by Shatner, you'll be able to see the clock behind him skip about 50 times, and it'll sound a little like the "Bush Sings U2" video.

Guys seriously.

Sometimes I think of the day that William Shatner will... ... cease to live... and I get sad.

Like, really sad.

There are no other celebrities I feel this way about. Hell, there are some family members I don't feel this way about.

Man Shatner rocks!

I never liked the original Star Trek when I was growing up, but have learned to admire it for what it was. Shatner always got on my nerves with his line delivery in that series, but man the older he gets the better he gets. The original Star Trek films are a blast to watch, Boston Legal is freaking hillarious, and I love that version of the song and had no idea he performed that live. Long live Shatner!

Seriously. There is wonderful heart in the Star Trek films. Can't help but think of Kirk's dying words, though:

"Oh my."

I watched the Pamela Anderson roast, and that was hilarious. I'm looking forward to checking this one out. I can't believe some of the stuff they say about their roast victims. Stuff you wouldn't get away with saying if you weren't on tv.

What a show. I don't know who had more gay jokes told about them: George Takei or Andy Dick.

It was pretty durn awesome and hilarious. Particularly the first few and the last few guests. Also, Bill himself is just a great guy. It'll surely get repeated a lot. There's some clips on comedycentral.com as well.

I thought it was pretty good, I would like to see the full uncensored/uncut version though. Comedy Central's web site has some uncensored clips up for those of you who missed it. I think Andy Dick & Lisa Lampanelli got nailed worse than Shatner did. Betty White surprisingly had some good lines. George Takei was really funny. For the Howard Stern/Artie Lange fans, does anyone know why Artie wasn't around at the end of the roast?

They will probably release an uncut DVD version later, given Shatner's popularity.

I saw it, and it was pretty good. However, I wanted Shatner to say more. He had about 10 lines at the end, and that was it.

It was insanely great. The true sign of it's greatness is that if you love Bill, you'll think he took it all like a man and gave it back. If you think he's a total Prick (sorry, that would be me) then you will feel completely vindicated.

Hey, there's something for everyone! Now THAT'S family entertainment. Although, I did think they milked the whole "sulu is gay" think way more than was required.

The bastard love child bit in the bad-trek-convention uniform was by FAR the funniest part. Except for the real life clips. Can't beat those. Nobody roasts shatner like shatner.

Corrected for truth. Puns are the lowest form of humor. The Shatner singing clips were pretty awesome tho.
