Member back when PA produced the American McGee StrawBerry Shortcake comic, and then got spanked for it...
I think maybe they might be setting themselves up again. This time for Disney to come after them.
Either way, I found it funny.

I doubt Disney can do anything about this. PA is parodying one of their products, after all. The Strawberry Shortcake stunt was not grounded on any action on American Greetings' part.
And if I haven't seen further, it's because those bloody giants blocked my sight.
Yeah, I thought the writing was pretty solid on the comic today. I don't really get the pvp comic. Looks like the PA guys but I just don't get the joke.

It's not that the comic of Strawberry Shortcut was 'illegal' it's that the PA guys at the time were just starting to break even on the comic again and didn't see the need to make a political statement when food was being put on the table. The PA guys decided not to fight the notice for take down.
I could see it happening different now. PA has been making money for a few years now, they have more confidence in their art and most likely have more friends in legal circles especially now that they're publishing paper books.
