Bad news for Fallout 3? Probably. That's two lead designers (Chris Avellone, J.E) who've quit.
Smaller, slower, dumber

And Feargus that left a while ago.
Wonder if they are joining his new company wherever he ends up.

Either way, this is truly the death of Black Isle.
Well so much for hopes of Fallout 3!

That sucks!
Hey! Maybe this means we will get a half assed 3d polygon attempt at recreating the coolest RPGs of the 90''s! It''s like Larry''s new game, except for RPGs! Yeehaw!
I just drank too much coffee.

That project was using the Lithtech engine. It got canceled.

Um, you serious? I didn''t know they were actually trying to do a 3d fallout. Oh, you wacky game developers!

I''m guessing this was so they could pursue a MMORPG angle for it.

Somebody''s been playing with the Google language selector.

The game was called TORN. Dunno if it was gonna use SPECIAL or not.

La la la Van Buren la la la.
This being from RPGDot, who again got it from No Mutants Allowed:
Maybe I missed it, but what does he mean when he says ""VB""?
I''ll answer your question since I''m so incredibly quotable...
Making Fallout 3D isn''t really the problem, as long as they keep an isometric fixed viewpoint. Look at Viewtiful Joe, was it hurt because it was 3D? It was still a 2D side scroller all the way, how you render the graphics really doesn''t matter. To a lesser extend War 3 is a good example, fully 3D but the same basic gameplay from the other *Craft games.
I think the plan was always to make Fallout 3 in 3D but keep an isometric viewpoint, though it may have changed since I last looked.

Well, that''s an important point. Look at what happened to Ultima IX...
