You guys think this is a winning strategy so far?

How long do you think till they add solo content?

They won't add solo content, they've seemed pretty darn opposed to doing so from the start. If they were smart, a Guild Wars style henchman system would be nice.

Id certainly sign up the instant such a system is implemented.

If Turbine was smart, they'd hire someone with ideas like this

The only problem is, it'd be a lot more difficult to code in the AI for the henchies in DDO than in Guild Wars, since there's so much more you need to do in this game than just spam attacks (or heals) ad infinitum.

The henchman in GW were pretty intelligent. A few times I remember grouping with Robear and his son for a mission were we wiped except for our monk and warrior henchmen. Not only did the henchman finish the fight, but the ai monk went around and ressed all of us.

I wouldnt expect them to code a thief to go around disarming all the traps. (that would take out all the fun) There are in between solutions.

I think the main problem would be the pathing, not the AI for the skills. All areas in Guild Wars are designed with a pathing grid... there is almost no free movement where the henchies could get stuck. Unfortunately that feeling of constantly being in a corridor takes a lot of the immersion away.

Its still doable i think and if they do, ill try their game out.
