New 0.5 Tier Armor Sets

I finished the bracer part of the 0.5 Tier Armor set last night and here are my observations:
Frostsaber Rock is now ridiculous. You can't walk 10 steps without another person swarming all over the place. If you want to get this part done, either get a hunter to help you and/or start going up and down the Eastern Border of Frostsaber Rock where it is hilly. Your best chance to to hit the respawns or some of the stealthed Frostsaber Stalkers. To get the 15 blood samples that are required took about 50 or so kills, which is a good drop rate, but very difficult with 60 other people farming the animals.
When turning in the quest, be sure to have several high level friends around. 3 level 60 stealthed assassins attempt to kill the npc after you hand in the quest, which will suck because this is a chained quest.
The 3rd leg is a horrible money sink. You need 1 Delicate Arcanite Converter, 3 Greater Eternal Essesences, 10 Stonescale Oils, 25 volcanic ashes AND 40 g. That's like +50g and the NPC doesn't actually tell you what you get for it.
If anyone can help me out with the converter or the oils, I am open for some good hunter trackin for the first leg of the quest.

It's new, it's for 60s, it's going to be very very crowded for at least a week or two. Also buying those mats now will cost you an arm and a leg since everyone else is buying them too. There are some links out there to the new sets if you want to know what you get. Here is an example of the new Beastmaster bracers over the Beaststalker bracers.

But I believe the upgrades are serial, so even though the bracer upgrade looks pitiful, I think you have to go through it to get to the better stuff later on.
That sounds just brutal. Guess they gave people a reason to fish... and hunters to have to have trained one of the Winterspring cats before this patch.
Yeah, I attempted to get a pride watcher cat on the Test Server before 1.10 went live. At least 100 people there and after finally getting an unattacked cat and starting the taming process, someone came up and killed the cat even though they couldn't loot it. When I inquired why they'd do that, I was told "Go F*** yourself, I need the bloodsample".
Let's hope it doesn't degrade to that point on any of the other servers
As to the increase in stats on the BM bracers over BS bracers... 20 g (which is a quest requirement for the first chain) was more than I actually paid for the BS bracers... now I also have to get the bracers re-enchanted. I'm probably out 25 g for the first quest, at least 50+ for the second quest.
I should also stipulate that the second part of the chain quest that requires all the mats DOES NOT give you an upgrade over your current tier armor set. It gives you a grab bag item... which in this case better be along the lines of an epic mount for the cost

I can typically get 1g per fish for Stonescale Eel, or thereabouts. I think the 50g estimate may be a bit low for anyone not a fisherman or easy access to cheap/free Eels. Takes a while to get a stack of Eels, but if I'm not actively working on something, I can help out with that part.

BTW I Did UD STRAT this morning, we had 8 pieces of Tier Armor drop!

I'd be interested in hearing what pieces they were. Lots of duplicates? Stuff that previously didn't drop in Strath?

I've heard the drop rates are a LOT better now. Someone said they managed a UBRS run late last night and TWO epics dropped from the bosses.
We got 3 Belts of Valor, 1 Dreadmist Boots, 1 Devout Boots, 2 Beaststalker Bracers... can't remember the last piece.

I helped jack up the price of Stonescale Oil on my server. I used to get about 1g each, I was selling them last night for 2.5g, and people were repricing them to 3g each or more. I'm putting off all of my upgrades for at least a couple weeks, though I'll talk to guildies about organizing production tonight.

I think whoever it was looking for a way to make money with engineering should be OK now

I am very glad I have 2 chars that can make arcanite with prices the way they are!
I bought-up every last Arcane Crystal on the AH before the price jumped on them as well.
Making 23g a day at these prices.
