Zombies Online

So I ran into this online game a couple days ago and found it pretty nifty, though I'm a big fan of most things zombie.

Been playing this for about 2 weeks or so.. I have one zombie and one human. I really like this game, it's quite a bit of fun, and I got some other guys in my office playing too.
I'm quite a big fan of anything zombies as well.
If you haven't already, check out Zombi Survival Guide by Max Brooks... great read

I've got a zombie and a human out there right now. I tried a police officer, but switched over to a firefighter who's much better (axes don't run out of bullets). My zombie just hit 100xp and I've gotten him better at beating people up, smack smack.

Been playing this for a couple of weeks myself. I had a soldier, fireman, and consumer, but the fireman and consumer both got zombified. My soldier is level 6 and heavily armed. He's currently holed up in the SE corner of the Treweeke Mall in Dulston. We've got quite a group up here, trying to keep the area clear of zombies. I'm trying to convince someone out there to revive my fireman in Whittenside since I was putting a lot of effort into increasing his hand-to-hand.

I started and then immediately forgot my username and password after I logged off. I'm going to just create a new account. Seems like a lot of fun.

Reminds me of the old Vampires game of a similar nature. Anyone played both? More fun/less fun?
I'm willing to give this a shot. Looks cool.
If I didn't drink, Crom would laugh and cast me out of Valhalla when I die. Peer pressure I can handle, but not when it comes from Crom. -Lobo
Gonna check it out today when I have time.
Name should be 'Karmajay'.

God... as if I didn't have to worry about zombies infesting my house and my shopping malls and my reading material as is, now I have to be on the alert for the undead online, too? God, will my vigil ever end? Will I ever be safe?

Sounds like fun, trying to feel my way through it. I'm in a police Dept in Dulston
If I'd known it was harmless, I would have killed it myself
Well, great. My firefighter gets revived, kills a few zombies, and holes up in a barricaded police department with a fairly large human crowd. When I log back in, the humans are all gone, the doors are wide open, there are 2 zombies in there, and I'm dead. Grrrr.

Wally Pingleton will save you all from the ravening hordes of the undead! That is, of course, if he can manage to leave the confines of the Police Station. Clever game! I spent a good portion of my first day hunting myself down. In reverse, even!

I have 9 characters.. they started out as 3 Scouts, 2 necrotechs, a cop, a civilian with Shopping, and two zombies. Now I've got a scout, the cop, the civilian, and 6 zombies.
I play all those guys once a day for a total of about 10-15 minutes. The game is turn based, so you can't play for very long each day anyways. I've sent Kevan, the guy who runs the game and the site, a $40 donation, because I play this game more than any other nowadays.
For the past month it's been a hella good time, but now that my characters are starting to max out, the thrill of the kill is starting to grow thin. I think I need to try to organize some serious zombie-reviving operations. But I am afraid that's going to be a bit like herding cats.

My Firefighter was killed, revivified, and killed again.
Brains.

How do you get revived on your own?
My firefighter died rather quickly because he *whiffed* alot while trying to kill a zombie.
I asked my wife the same thing last night. She replied with "stop being a moron and wash the damned dishes" -- Paleocon asking his wife about zombies
Someone needs to come along and revivify you.

Or you just do what I did and start a new character.
I think a lot of people's first times end up with them dead and starting over. I learned a lot with my first character - a cop. Ran around a lot. Didn't really do much. Didn't get much XP. Died.
My firefighter runs, hacks away at a zombie that's right outside a well-barricaded and (very crucial) highly populated area. Malls and Police Stations, stick close to them if you at all can early on.
Just pop up, bash until you don't feel secure anymore, then slip back inside and ask for some healing before you log off (if you have any action points left). Just do that a few times until you've gotten at least one increase in experience, preferably two or more. Once you've trained your character to be a zombie fighting machine, start roving about, looking for stuff.

I started a cop. I ran out of action points at the Railway station next to the Mitchell Drive Fire station. I shot a zombie and hit him for all of 4 damage. I guess they issue these cops .22s or something.

Yeah, its tough to get xp (even as a zombie) when you miss 90% of the time.
Then someone comes along and kills you (again) and you lose your xp. i have not been able to get one upgrade yet.
I asked my wife the same thing last night. She replied with "stop being a moron and wash the damned dishes" -- Paleocon asking his wife about zombies
My zombie got the two hand attack upgrades and now has 50%/3 damage. Seems to be working nice.

So...can we arrange to have our non-zombified PCs hook up? Safety in numbers and all that.

The city's huge, but one of my characters (NecroTech Employee, Len Doe) is hanging out in the mall at 66, 66. The only way to tell where you are is with a GPS. I forget where I found mine. If you find a mall and you have Shopping you can find them in electronics stores but I may have actually found mine on the street.

I'm a soldier and I found a knife early on. I mostly just stab zombies with my knife. I got the upgrade for melee attacks so I'm starting to get exp faster. The sticking with a large group is true too. It's been a week or so and I just got to choose my first upgrade. Character name is Darby.

Every time I start a character, I get sloppy and end up running out of AP on the doorstep of my safehouse. It's a sad tale of five brothers who joined the fire brigade and aren't smart enough to get back inside the hospitals and police stations. They pause to catch their breath and are eaten by zombies.
...friggin' zombies.

I've been playing this game forever. My only remaining non-zombified character is a firefighter named Lucius Harris in the Havercroft part of town.
One of my zombies is killin' a dude in New Arkham right now. Sucker.

I have a lv 5 Fireman in the Slade Arms 96,8 in the suberb of Dulston. It's all the way on the top right of the city. I also have a zombie roaming the city somewhere...and he opens doors
