Well, I'm off work today, the start of a nice long 4 day weekend in celebration of Labor Day here in the US. I plan to spend some quality time with my Gamecube and F-Zero and my Xbox with Otogi.

What do you guys have planned?

Pretty much the same as you. Lay around and read, play video games and maybe work a little in the yard. Hopefully I will be able to finish off KotOR finally. I''ve been slacking lately.

I will be driving 2 hours at 3pm EST to Bristol to help my fiance''s brother and wife move. I will be grabbing a lot of beer tonight for a pool party and tomorrow at 3pm EST I will be watching my glorious TN Vols win their first game of the college football season. No games the entire weekend, except the GBA....maybe.

4day weekend!...hmm, I might get half a day! Either way though, part of my plans fell apart... I bought Berserk series, so that I can watch it again during the weekend... however Vol 1 is damage or something really wrong with the DVD. and I''m not going to watch the series until I get Disk 1 that works... dang!

Besides that I''ll do some wok for the office, and may be play a game on the X, most likely I''ll get drunk and pass out for a day or two! ..ehh..

My sentiments exactly! Definitely my game plan!

Well, I ended up putting four hours into KOTOR today, still haven''t finished it but I''m pretty sure I''m very close. I went to two Blockbusters around noon and they did not even have F-Zero or Otogi in their selection, what is up with them not getting the new games? I just can''t bring myself to pay $40-50 for a game I''m not sure I''ll like and will last me more than 10 hours.

Well, my weekend started off nicely with a party at my brother''s house. Despite a twenty minute walk home I''m still quite out of sorts... pip pip.

My Blockbusters (all six that I called) had ONE copy per store and they were all rented out, total BS.

Are you going to make like a sea lion for the great whites?

I was just reading about how the California coast is seeing greater than usual activity from the great whites this summer. I read the one who killed that woman not long ago was estimated to be 15'' to 18'' long. Yikes!

Yeah that is all over the news, I''m hoping it will keep a lot of the sheep away from the water. I will be hitting monterey which is a long ways away from where they were last spotted.

Really thought, sharks don''t like people and they like divers even less, all the bubbles and noise I gather. Anyway, if I get eaten then somebody can have my spot in line .

Hmm. What did I do...well if yer really curious...

Played Starcraft and HL on friend''s LAN setup. Owned HL, was about 50/50 on starcraft (they didn''t find my zergling making expansion base until waayyyyy too late. can you say starship troopers?)

Saturday spent time helping wife make even weirder obstacle course equipment for the dogs (she teaches dog agility/obstacle course stuff), followed by much playing with the dogs, followed by playing Syberia on TV with remote mouse/keyboard (finally found how to get her gaming....mooohahahah). Late night played through three more Warcraft3 scenarios (on orc missions now, chapt 5 i think).

Sunday was very like saturday except went to get Frozen Throne expansion for War3. More playing with dogs, building stuff, and she won/finished Syberia (talk about weirdly depressing adventure game). Stayed up late playing first frozen throne multiplayer with two friends over battlenet. They mostly left me alone and let me attack them, til they decided time to finish game, and then destroyed me. My one successful attack turned out later to be ironic, in that one of my friends had just held off a large scale attack by the other, only to have me show up with undead army, including 8 necromancers. Nobody more surprised than me when my necromancers autocast about 30 skels and skel mages into existence on arrival and destroyed his main base.

Monday was rainy and lazy. Played some CS and DoD on the TV (was still set up from Syberia) which turns out to not work well if you feel like winning (mouse lag from 20ft remote) but is funny and wife actually watched me play some. Watched ""The Mummy"" with commentary, very funny. Went to hot tubs...that was nice. Topped off evening with ""bake it yourself"" french bread and brie.

sigh.

I went home and got some decent food. And my alternator died about 3 hours from home. I slept alot, and drove as it takes 11 hours to drive to home one way. So I spent 2 days of my vacation driving! I probably won''t do that again anytime soon

Ouch, Pyro. Hopefully you had Harry Potter on tape or something. Something for 11 hours...

I tend to get kind of road-hypnotized after the first 8 hours, and have to stop for a while to clear my head.
