Looks like they''re trying to show realistic destruction of buildings as opposed to having 3 different models - ""destroyed"", ""not quite destroyed"" and ""doing quite jolly, thank yee sire"".
That''s just plain awesome. If they went back to AOE and AOE 2 with that engine - I''d buy them all again. Can you say trebuchet and that graphics engine with the destructible terrain. Like Edwin said - Oh Snap...

I had a roommate in college that would do absolutely nothing but play Age of Empires and look at really bad pr0n. And I think his girlfriend was retarded.
There''s a program out there called BSPlayer. Excellent freeware movie player. Even has a screenshot feature. Between the DivX codec and BSPlayer I''ve never encountered something I couldn''t play.
I would have sex with the man that would let me touch AoE III right now.

If I recall correctly it is set in the Rennaissance through the Enlightenment. Is that right?
edit: From the most recent Gamespot preview:
Quote:
The new game will take place in North and South America during the European colonization of the New World. As we saw, battles in Age of Empires III will be fought with musketeers, cavalry soldiers armed with sabers, and cannons that can both cause buildings to collapse and infantry to be blown sky-high, thanks to the game''s modeled physics.
Yah, you basically start of with a small colony (i.e. Jamestown, St. Augustine) and go from there. It sounds like factors such as trade and native americans will be playing a big part. I too have never played an AoE game but am looking forward to this one.
I plan to make love to this game at E3.

I have a credit card ready for use to buy the x rated version of the footage you WILL take of this game.

Holy sweet mother of Steve. I''ve never played any of the other AoE games but that looks amazing.

My only suggestion would be to find an XVID codec set.
EDIT I use YAAI (Yet Another AVI Info) v2.01.485 to figure out what codecs I need for .avis

Actually it wouldn''t suprise me if this title is released for the XBox 360. MS is the publisher after all.
Anyone know what the setting is for this one?

Looks frickin'' awesome. However, does the army cannons use real physics too? They seemed a little weird.
The environment tho... Jeez.
