Actually, it''s an interesting marketing move. They can see how eager and willing potential customers are to pay for a product or settle for the free one (or wait for the expansion disc in June). There''s also the ""temptation factor"". Customers might be more tempted to pay for the content after playing the freebie maps. It''s Drug Dealer 101, give them a taste, they''ll come back for more.
Considering I just bought the game... I''ll probably wait a while before I pay for the new maps. I still haven''t even played online yet.

boards aren''t too bad. but if they can do Warlock for Wizard, they could definitly make a board called Serpentine to put Sidewinder online. Turf seems to be an afterthought.
although, i did just download the Star Wars XMas show to check it out.

I''m glad they''re putting out two free now, because I had no intention of paying for Halo 2 maps. I''d rather just let it trickle in with the free releases than get it all at once and wear it out in a month.

Anyway, one catch to these maps is that it will be another week before they are integrated into the matchmaking system (as part of a larger overhaul of matchmaking and playlists). So it''s up to the GWJ community to step up and play these maps in custom games (and some are made for more unexplored gametypes - Turf, for example, is all about Territories).

Coffee is for prissy boys. My highest uber form (after all my smaller sub-boss forms are defeated) will involve IV''s pumping Coca-Cola syrup directly into me.
