Got the latest issue of CGW and in their upcoming releases they list Ultima X with a date of Q4 2003. LOL!

The last (and first) tidbit I saw of Ultima X was a vague photo taken at E3 (I think) of a screen showing the letters ""Ultima X - Resurrection"".
They say true evil never dies - it simply waits for a sequel. Maybe it also holds true for a ""sequel-of-a-sequel""?

unless they (Dev Team and EA combined) have pulled off another Valve and have stealth developed this project for that long to actually ship in <6 months I''d be shocked if this was anything for real.

It''s real, I play tested it well over 6 months ago. No more details because of NDA but it looked and played..interestingly.
Edit: Having said that, the one I played actually looked more like a MMORPG than a stand alone, so we shall see.

hehe..Glide baby! its all about Glide! That game ran better on my dual SLI Voodoo 2''s than it did on my Geforce 3 at the time of release... and its probably not much better now.

I miss Ultima Underworld. Wish they''d make a true sequel to Underworld 2. That game was incredible - one of the best 1st person RPGs I''ve ever had the pleasure of playing
I know Arx Fatalis is supposed to be quite good, so maybe I''ll pick that up to console myself.
