Well I've been moving and finally am forced to give up old classics that were close to my heart.

Budokan(1989): The best Martial art game I've played. Had
everything.
Crusade in Europe

SSG's American Civi War series. AI that gave you a feel of what it was like to be a commander and watch things go to hell.

Star Saga One: a 'correspondence' game with a story was sooo cool.

Tiger's on the Prowl

F19 Stealth Fighter
F15 Eagle

Annals of Rome! What a wonderful little gem

Terra Nova

and on and all. Man, it has been hard to let go of these 'classics' that problem not a maching around can run, DOS box or not.

Just sharing

It might have been lame but I had a great time with Cyberia when I was younger. I got it for Christmas and a lot of the gameplay was completely on rails, you just shot crap as you flew around in your ship and alot of the game was pre-rendered video. I seem to recall some puzzles too. Good times.

Cyberia was fun! This remind''s me of that tank game that was popular. Just outlines of a tank on a dark landscape shooting things up.

Then there was Wizardry 1 and Starflight. Hate to give those away (or dump). But gonna make run. As I go thru the boxes, what little treasure of memories with these old things. Space Quest...

Does anyone have Defender of the Crown Digitally Remastered Edition? I`m kinda mildly interested, although i havent really played original, i found out about it rather late and poor visuals killed the appetite soon enough.

Budokan still is my favourite fighting game along with Bushido Blade. Played it a lot on PC and still have the Genesis version sitting around somewhere.

F15 Eagle

I played F15 Strike Eagle II quite a bit. Funny considering what games passed as flight sims way back. Compared to more modern games (Jane''s productions or LO-MAC) F15 SE is nothing but a simple arcade game comparable to Ace Combat.

Oh man...these golden oldies threads are dangerous.

Too..many...good...memories!

Centurion
F-19
Civ
M1 Tank Platoon (not the crappy remake)
The Summoning
All Gold Box AD&D

I was working part-time in a Compucenter when the demo loop (which were all the rage then) for Eye of the Beholder came out. We all just sort of stood there in awe, mesmerized by the power of SSI.

Tons more, like Strike Commander, I''m probably forgetting.

And why am I at work and at home ensconced in my chair and playing Xcom?

- sigh -

These too! Centurion was awesome and I still keep M1TP around for the manual, which in those day''s Microprose wrote
some awesome ones on history and technical specs etc.

Remember about everyone not able to fire up Strike Commander cause it needed such a ''hot'' machine:)

Yep, Eye of the Beholder was truly jaw dropping then. I still, thru the use X-Com Utilities, get X-Com to run. I so loved that intro music where you make your choices of play for MOO too (Master''s of Orion). Can''t make it sound the same nowaday''s tho''. Actually, come to think about it, I''ve not tried to run it since I got a ''couple'' new things. Should see.

I still have Strike Commander, but can''t get it to run on my PC.

Loved Out of this World and it''s sequel, whose name I can''t remember. Not fade to black, something else...

Oddly enough, I just saw the All Gold AD&D box at a local Goodwill a few days ago. Was thinking about buying it, but didn''t really have any money on me at that point. Had Eye of the Beholder I & II, Pool of Radience and something else in it?

Glad to see I''m not the only old timer around here who thought the same thing.

Well, there''s a real sequel to Out of this World (aka Another World) - Heart of the Alien. It was only released for the Genesis CD thingy (called Mega CD over here) though. You''re probably referring to Flashback. Fade to Black again was the sequel to Flashback, released some years later.
