Golden Tee 2003 at the bar. For some reason, playing arcade golf when drinking is pretty fun. Not sure exactly how many other gamers like it, but a few of my buddies and I get a kick out of it.
I loved Mech Commander 2. I dont think anyone else even knows it existed. It might have had the distinction of being released at the same time as something like Diablo 2, so it flopped.
Being fangoriously devoured by a gelatinous monster.
I love any of the Silver Creek card games. It''s not that other people necessarily panned them. It''s mainly that most people don''t even know they exist. Hearts, and Spades, and Euchre are all fully online with your own custom avatar and ranking and stats. The design is just spectacular, but they fly under most gamers'' radars.

So true! I LOVED Mech Commander 2, and played it to death. Have you checked out the Mech Lab? They have lots of great missions and campaigns for MC2.

Awesome game.. I played it non-stop.. too bad I lost my cd''s I would have liked to check out what has been created by the user community.
Aint nothing new about the world order..it's been playing since the day they put George Washington on a quarter

I''m totally with you on that one. So much, in fact, that I''m investigating the purchase of a machine for my rec room. Those things are friggin'' expensive! It appears that you can buy an older one off ebay for a fraction of the price of the 2003/2004 versions, then upgrade the board. Pretty much the same game, year after year... only the graphics/courses change.

I love Sacrifice. For me it is the perfect combination of FPS-frenzy and tactics. And 4 player fights are a blast. Sadly only a handful people ever agreed with me, so this game tanked badly .
I so wanted that game, but my machine couldn''t handle it at the time. Sounded like an excellent premise. Didn''t it come out for a console at some point?
See I love Jedi Outcast too, but I''ll be damned if I play it online. It''s too easy to be cheap in this game, so you have to find people who either don''t know how or have alot of self-restraint. Then it''s a blast. it was really fun for the first month or two till everyone figured out how to use Force Push.

Judging the general feedback here I''d have to list Op Flashpoint. A great game, incredibly immersive and atmospheric, Resistance is even better. On of my favourite games of 2001. Apart from that a bunch of sims/strategy games such as the Falcon, IL-2 and Combat Mission series. Not ''hated by everyone'', but usually considered too boring or challenging by the majority.
Flashpoint is on my list too, though the primary addition I would have to make is Rise of the Triad. Talk about some hot-hot first person shooter action! Too bad it was trashed by Doom fans and snowed under by various other FPS releases around the same time it came out in... what, ''95?

I just never saw any comments for this game I found in a bargain bin - The Neverhood. It''s like an adventure game, made all in clay (even the menus). It''s amazing, and the style is very original.
I guess it must have tanked, but I think it''s worth keeping.

VietCong ... I admit it''s got a CRAPPY framerate (especially with my Ti4200) but man! If you anything about firing guns ... this game does a GREAT job of making you feel what it feels like ... especially when you''re aiming down the ""iron sites"". PLUS it''s got some good action and a story that draws you in
Giants. Why didn''t anyone buy it? Why dammit?! The same goes for Hostile Waters.

not after patch 1.4 anymore, which sadly came way too late. I have to say it wasn''t buggy for me in single player, but I had heavy problems in mp until the patch arrived.
Hopefully planetmoon does it better next time with A&D
You know what''s a game that I like and most people hate? Tribes 2 after the last patch Garage Games put out. I vehemently hated Tribes 2 forever, mainly because I tried to stick with it after I realized it sucked. However now it runs good, they ported the Tribes 1 maps over to T2 in the official patch, and included the ""Classic"" game mode which made it as much like Tribes 1 as possible. It''s basically T1 in an updated engine that doesn''t suck along with a bunch of other new maps and vehicles. Pretty much what everyone wanted on release.

Tribes2. I played that game all the time! Still do sometimes.

Star Wars: Rebellion. I friggin'' love this game, but it certainly isn''t everyone else''s cup o'' tea.
Jedi Outcast. Can''t get anyone to play this MP.

Not sure you can included Deus Ex and Thief in this thread as they generated almost universal positive press.

I would''ve loved it a lot more had I not found it so damn hard in certain missions!

Maybe Jedi Academy will fix that. It at least promises to add more to lightsaber combat.

Add me to the Jedi Outcast pile. Also throw in Oddworld: Munch''s Oddysee, SOF II (multiplayer only), Quantum Redshift, and I''m sure some others.
My days of not taking you seriously have certainly come to a middle.

ROTT was the greatest, I wish someone would get it running on modern OSes. Didn''t they release the source code for that at some point?
*edit* why yes, yes they did.
There''s a Linux, Win32 and MacOSX ports of the source and Win32 Binaries
They did the same with Duke3D. Its also out for Linux
