I''ll tell you as soon as it''s in my hot little hands. My copy is indeed preordered at EB.

Has it been confirmed that there will be no Live play for the xbox version? If so, it will definitely have to be a gamefly rental, methinks.

Pro Evo 4 has it (the European version) but Konami''s been mum on the US version, and all signs currently point to no. I''d start slobbering about whether its worth it or not without anyway, but that''s not the question. XBOX Live access in the US version is a big ""Dunno"".

I don''t know. Although I would really enjoy Live play, my enjoyment of last year''s version really centered around the RPG-like elements of the game. It was the first time in a sports game I really felt like I was managing a team and developing both my skills and their''s at the same time. I thought someone may have bought the Euro version off gogamer. I was looking for some insight into the improvements made and whether it was worth it?

That''s what I was (am) down for myself. As for those things, honestly, I haven''t seen a very detailed review anywhere, so i''ll just say we''ll have to wait and see. Unless Spunior can enlighten us.

Yes, Pro Evolution Soccer 4 = Winning Eleven 8. Winning Eleven is actually the ''real'' name of the series, which is also being used by Konami for the Japanese market. The ""Pro Evo Soccer"" name is Euro-only.

Can''t provide an extensive review. I only played it at some friend''s place. I currently don''t own a PS2 or an Xbox. I have the PC version of WE7/PES3, but didn''t feel like getting the new one because the PC simply doesn''t lend itself that well for multiplayer fun. (Also, I currently can''t spend too much money on games.) Now if Konami bothered porting the game for the GC... but they don''t.
Still, there''s quite a number reviews of the PAL version. PS2, Xbox and PC. Take note that it once again brutally defeats the competition aka FIFA 2005.
