Urgently seeking: Rapid clickety game thing.

Hi guys,
I'm desperately looking for a replacement for Rocket Mania. Specifically: my wife's favourite genre is any puzzle game where rapid action is involved, preferably of the mouse-clicking kind. The last three games which held her attention were Rocket Mania, Astropop and some pattern-matching thing (don't even remember what it's called). Someone suggested Zuma, but she complained it's too bloody slow.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions - if there's something that can provide similar action in another genre, please point it out.

There is this flesh game with aquarium... Can''t remember the exact name, but I know that I destroyed a mouse while playing it. Clicking nirvana, if that''s her piece of cake.

Insaniquarium? She complained it''s a bit too slow. Gotta get the turbo action in right at the early stages
On the other hand... maybe she didn''t give it a proper chance... I''ll try to get her to take it for a test-drive again.

Yeah I gotta go with Insaniquarium as well... I swear that game gave me carpal tunnel! Other than that, what''s wrong with good ol'' minesweeper?

Does Diablo/Diablo2 count as a puzzle game ?
Probably not, but you should try anyway.
In Diablo1, specifically, you had to click every time you wanted to slash at the enemy.

I have seen this game quickly suck in a girl who never touched computer games before, and shortly after beating Diablo about a thousand times, she moved on to Fallout and Fallout 2...

A demo of Diablo1 (100mb or so) is downloadable at http://www.blizzard.com/diablo/

I''m with Shihonage. When I think Rapid clickety I think Diablo.

Zuma, from popcap games would be perfect for her. Crazy addictive, and you can try it out on Yahoo games before you buy it/download free version.

Cheers guys - installed Diablo 2 already, gonna get her on it.
Any other suggestions? Things she could play at the office?

In terms of fast-paced action, low size, taking advantage of an internet connection and low, low system requirements, there''s always Subspace or as kids nowadays call it, ""Continuum"".

Subspace! Good choice. It''s not really a rapid-click game, since you don''t really use the mouse at all. Still a good choice, though.

I got very pissed when Virgin Interactive pulled the free version of Subspace in order to sell retail CDs. I dutifully purchased the game on CD, only to have Virgin kill all the servers amidst their death throes a few months later. Fortunately, Continuum popped up some time later and the game returned to freeware status... but, of course, then I felt miffed about having dropped $30 on the retail version. Stupid Virgin.

The market has much to answer for as to why gaming is NOT an art. -- illum

Man, you guys are rockin with the freeware goodness!

As far as clickety games go, I thought Diablo/D2 as well.

You might also want to check and see if any of the open source games have been ported to windows yet....Frozen Bubble rocks.

And how about Gish?

Gish is the exact opposite of clickety-click.
But, if you''re into physics-based games, check out BreakQuest (nurium.com).

Stick figure castle defense is big time clickage...

Gotham City is in trouble, so I put on a rubber suit and go save innocents from psychotic men in stage makeup. It's more straightforward than you might think. - Sanjuro
