The league will be advanced late tonight but I figured that, given the 5-day schedule, it would be good to let you guys get a head-start on scheduling your games. Good luck.

Certis, like in the other league, any day at/after 9 CST is optimal.

Ok Warlock when shall we play? When is good for you? I am good anytime today, otherwise probably late Sunday evening will be the next opportunity and then anytime next week.

Tonight should be okay... I think I''m playing Crimson Skies, but that''s not until later, so if we wanted to play in the early evening (between 6pm EST and 9pm) that would work.

Sunday evening would be fine, though I''d prefer something before 8pm EST. Other than that, any night next week is good, after about 9pm EST.

Sanjuro-san! I call you out!

I could most likely play tonight or tomorrow after 5:30 (PST of course) or basically antime over the weekend. Let me know when you''ll be available.

I''m pissed at the newest rosters.

Jaguars RB Greg Jones was moved from RB to FB. In reality, he''s both, but primarily a RB. But it means that I now have only two RBs on the depth chart, and there''s no easy way to sub Jones in at RB on the fly. And so I now have three fullbacks. WTF am I gonna do with three fullbacks?

Careful ejay. He got caught in an ambush game with me (my last few games had been crap and I needed a ""statement"" game to get back on track), and I bet Stric will be ready to punish the next guy for it. Which is you! (Unless he plays his GWJFL3 league game first)

Stric better watch it. Trent Green is out for a month because his Defensive end gouged his groin during a tackle to make him fumble and then stomped on his foot and broke it!

Ejaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Why Did I call tight man, WHY?!?! <sobs>

OK, OK, I''m better now. No, really.

Yes sir, I did watch. I had just finished my game with Stric and wasn''t ready to go do something productive just yet.

I''ll be ready for you, sunshine.

First half wasn''t too bad I was down 14-7 then threw a pick for touchdown with about 20 seconds to go in the half. Then when you went up 28 to 7 with only about the 7 minutes left I had to abandon my gameplan and start going for it on fourth down every drive. Ahh well things just got out of hand, now I know why Marty plays it so conservatively. But I decided I would rather play to win then just keep the margin to a minimum. That said I have never had anyone run all over me like that, even when I was playing with the chargers and they were ranked near the bottom of all the teams.

That I respect. In the words of Herm Edwards: ""you PLAY to WIN the GAME"". You don''t play just to not lose badly. Eventually you have to take chances that have a low probability of paying off, but the conservative alternative is guaranteed to lose.

I wish you luck for your next game - you''re a far better player than the score labeled you.

Grumpy and I just finished up our games tonight. In our first one I was ahead 14 - 0 in the first half and the connection dropped on my end. I figured my luck was up and I wouldn''t be able to do that to his Ravens again. Turns out I could, the first half opened more defensively and the scoring opened with my defense running an interception in for a touchdown. After a field goal in the 2nd quarter Grumpy didn''t get on the board again until he ran in a nice catch for a TD in the fourth quarter.

Much to my surprise, the final score was 38 - 10 for the Patriots. Grumpy was a great guy to play with, as usual. I doubt I''ll get this lucky again!

Certis beat me to it. - Elysium

Well it was awful nice of Corey Dillon to leave the single-game rushing records alone this game.

Warlock and I were able to play as well. What a fun fella to play with. His greatest handicaps were the Lions themselves. Once he got the passing rhythm down he was on the ball. the Eagkes topped them, but it was more strength of teams vice skill. Again it was a fun game. As for the Patriots they are almost unstoppable in the hands of a decent player. I have played a couple of different so-so players on Live who use the Patriots and it is almost always a massacre - too many weapons and even wide open receivers drop balls - I think their must be some sort of generic strength of D vice strength of O equation. We tested it earlier and we let TO run free and he still dropped 4 of 6 passes against the Patties - same test against New Orleans 6 of 6 catches. They can be beaten I am sure, but no wonder the top 8 players all use NE on Live.
