Supertanker, sorry -- we moved to the TG Teamspeak (I posted an update to the Game Cal) so as to capture their attendance as well. All in all a good first night. I think the fire team tended to have more success on the larger server, whereas in first few rounds on the smaller server we were a bit too spread out. And having the blue-taped clips didn''t help us any.
Thanks again to all that showed, especially those from the East Coast. Next week, same bat time -- same bat channel. But let''s just agree to meet on the TG Teamspeak server.

I couldn''t find the info on the GameCal teamspeak channel in the FAQ, and then when I went to look for guys at around 2200hrs I saw they are all playing JO:E..so my hopes were dashed for this week.

Sorry Gotham. We did a roll call at about 21:45 or so and everybody had Escalation. Sorry about the change in teamspeak servers -- it was easier to consolidate on the TG TS server.

Strange problem I was having last night. I couldn''t use my medpak at the beginning of every map until I went to the armory. Even if I didn''t change anything it would work right after I left the armory. Anybody else have this problem? Is there some stupid setting I''m missing or is this just a bug?

I''d call the first West Coast night a success. Many thanks to all for showing up and making it fun and competitive.
Something was mentioned at the end of the session that I''d like to address. I know that GWJ has a pretty open policy about tagging up with GWJ in your name. Still, coming from other games and squads I feel strongly that you have to respect, and in most cases, earn a tag. On TS the offer was put out for the NN crew to switch to GWJ.
As long as there isn''t a long line of objections we''d like to take you up your offer to tag up GWJ. Additions to the roll call:

We''ve never made anyone jump through any hoops to use the GWJ tag. Except that one time with Edwin, and he lost his pants. So we don''t do that any more.

I have to go back to what Mateo posted. There was something seriously fishy going on in that server. Perhaps it was a lag issue, who knows. It was painfully obvious and I''m glad we moved on.
I''ve never used Xfire before, but the topic has come up. The game cal and TS make it so easy to track people... perhaps I will try out Xfire tho.
Speaking of TS, have you guys ever considered Ventrilo? We have used Ventrilo for a long time and the sound quality is much better. Just a thought.
And finally, absolutely big ups to Jaya and Newt for getting the ball rolling. I will now stab you in honor of the moment.

Last night was a lot of fun. Looking forward to forming coordiated assault teams and working on ""joint operations"". Thanks to all for making the Pacific Theater a rewarding experience.

Slick, I''m not sure what causes the medpack problem you had. It''s been happening to other people too, and the causes are unknown. Also, I have XFire, but I never use it... my xfire name is: getcrackin

Don''t know about ventrilo, but you do know that you can alter the default codec fo TS, right? You can get pretty spiffy with the sound quality...just make sure you don''t jack up the sensitivity as well, or you will activate the mike every time you exhale....which I did initially.
Gotham, you should have gotten on the TG TS server, and voiced loud opposition to the use of Escalation. You wouldn''t have met much oppostion.
The whole discussion pretty much consisted of Edgar saying ""Vanilla or Escalation?"" and getting back a chorus of ""Whatever.""
Real laid back vote. Had more trouble with which server than which version to play.
