WoW - Sold Out

Well just an FYI.. I live on Long Island - I just went to every store I could to try and get WoW and it's sold out in every single store. I'll take a shot tomorrow, but I doubt I'll have any luck at all. It's not a gift, it's for me after reading all your threads I decided I need to have it.. I disguised my search under the vail of "I'm going out to get one more gift for our daughter!" Of course I did get her something, but I could not find WoW in all of probably 10 stores I checked.
Anyway, it seems to be the "Hot Item" to have. For all you lucky one's – Is there a DVD version that I should get?
There's still tomorrow - anyone in the area (West Islip) please tell me where I can get it.
Doesn''t the collector''s edition come in both cd and dvd format?

According to my customers everyone is sold out in sacramento too. When my store gets a shipment in of 15 copies they''re gone at the end of the day.

If you got the game installed you are fine. Once you install the game you don''t need the CD''s for anything. All the patches are installed without the use of the CDs.
Also, once a patch is released, it''s a good rule of thumb to check Worldofwarcraft.com forums for any mirrors as Blizzards Bit-Torrent patching solution is terrible.

I might be able to find a copy of WoW - I haven''t checked stores around here, but last time I was at walmart, I saw 4 or 5 copies. Just let me know, they might have been sold, but I live out in the midwest, and in an area where games like this don''t sell out right away.
