Anyone have any good suggestions for kid games on the XBox? Looking for something that a 6-7 year old can figure out.

Ty the Tasmania Tiger and Ty 2
Sonic Heroes and the Sonic Mega Collection
Mech Assault was pretty easy for my then five year old to pick up (he actually won it. He even beat people on Xbox live when he played as the Ragnarok)
Voodoo Vince
Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom

But the TY games are really fun. I recommend them most of all.

Grabbed by the Ghoulies.

Check over at www.gamerdad.com too. They recently put up a holiday guide for each platform.

Stay away from Rabbed by the Ghoulies if you don''t want your kid to end up hating you years down the road. Add Blinx to that list as well.

Pick up the Sonic and Megaman games for Xbox.

I have to agree with Sonic Mega Collection and Voodoo Vince, both great games with lots of replay value. And cheap.

I'm still waiting to get inside something, so for the moment, it's been very much "poke around the ravine." - rabbit

You''re nuts. Grabbed by the Ghoulies draws all of the kids over whenever I play it. I don''t know any kids in the mentioned age range that don''t like it.

Voodoo Vince is very fun and quite funny. Some of the humour might go over a 6-year-old''s head, though.

My son LOVES Voodoo Vince. He went as Voodoo Vince for Halloween.

I''d go with Voodoo Vince and Grabbed by the Ghoulies for kids under 10.

Well, picked up Ty2 and MechAssualt at EB today. The MA was a previously owned version but I only paid 12.99 for it. Ty2 was 19.99. I got two XBox games for under 34.00 (USD) and was pretty damn happy about it. Messed with Ty2 today and must admit, I like it.

I have to add Kung Fu Chaos which the kids seem to love when all my daughter''s friends are over (7-8 year olds). Very easy controls, great 4 player.

Kung Fu Chaos is not entirely politically correct all over. Might not be a safe bet with the visitng kids'' parents.

Have the kids play Silent Hill 2 & 3. Then tell them that''s what happens to little boys and girls who don''t behave.

...sorry.

Crimson Skies is pretty good, though the flirtation may be something you want to look at first.

CEJ...don''t they have barbie horse adventures on the xbox... My little ''bug'' loved it on PC. Also, 8 year old loved NHL Hockey that I picked up for $20.

but the ultimate that you all are missing...the first Shrek game...pure fun, up to 4 players...and easy for all the kids to play and laugh at...

and karaoke is a hit too...

Unless you're running out of mana overhealing is the most worthless stat in the game. Underhealing is effectively known as "wiping".

Right now, they are struggling with the controls. I pretty much driev Ty around and they mash the throw and bite buttons for me. It may just be a factor of them playing with it a bit more.
