This episode made me really excited about my imminent PS4 purchase!
On the PC side of things, Torment: Tides of Numera is definitely on my list, though I think there's a fair chance that one slips to 2016.
LastSuprise: Destroyer of Wallets would be an excellent tag and/or third handle for you.

Almost certainly going to slip. I'm ok with that; quality over celerity!
Other than Torment, Persona 5 and Pillars of Eternity are my two biggies. After listening to the show, I guess Grim Fandango counts, because I'm super-excited, but mainly to watch Kittylexy play it for the first time, since she missed it during its initial run.
Along the same lines, I'm moderately excited for the HD remake of Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
You bastard, Tanglebones. :)

You guys nailed my thoughts on some upcoming games. The game I'm looking forward to most that will probably not disappoint is The Witcher 3. The game I'm looking forward to most that probably will disappoint is No Man's Sky.
Also, I'll be pretty upset if we hear nothing from Bethesda about Fallout this year.

I would be interested in revisiting this list next December to see how it stacks up to GOTY selections.

My most anticipated game is the unmentioned Xenoblade Chronicles X for Wii U.

Suddenly the urge to buy that Captain Kirk hoodie has dropped.

Nothing on this list, excepting No Man's Sky and the new Kirby game, interest me much.
I'm sure, however, that something interesting will turn up. If not, well I'm still sitting on a backlog miles long so W00T! G4M35!

Yes, you can cancel Darksiders, but only by using your Sony Golds. Which, while pretty good, aren't a patch on Zelda.

Hearts of Iron 4 is on my list
and Cities: Skylines
And Pillars of Eternity. No Man's Sky if it makes it to PC.
Relevant: Pillars of Eternity, which Shawn doubted would be finished in 2015, has an announced release date of March 26.
This is my most anticipated game of 2015.

I was thinking of the Torment Tides of Numenara game. I'm in the Pillars beta, the release date doesn't surprise me ... but it makes me a bit nervous.

Can you tell us why it makes you nervous?

It's still pretty rough and Obsidian doesn't have a great track record. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
From there release date post:
As many as possible. Now there's the kind of confidence you want to hear when they drop a release date!

Gotcha. I was just curious if there was something specific that worried you that wasn't just about Obsidian's reputation.
LAWL. But seriously, since PoE is crowdfunded and, therefore, not subject to a publisher's deadline for release, I'm hopeful that they actually do fix every bug that they are aware of before release. With lots and lots of backers playing the beta, let's hope that they are reporting all of the bugs that they encounter.

Isn't the usual excuse for Obsidian's buggy games that the publisher just didn't give them enough time? That's going to be hard to fall back on this time around.
Professionally offended. Does not understand jokes. Needs a man to explain them to me.
Throwin' some shade.
Naysaying aside, I think Pillars is gonna be something special if you love CRPGs. Obsidian's come a long way from the bugginess of past games, and the beta is not representative of the progress made on the game.
Call that a bold prediction if you want.

Well, when you're self-publishing, then you only have yourself to blame if it's "released" (Yeah, that term needs redefining in this day and age) incomplete.
I wish you guys would stop encouraging him.

We find ourselves in similar circumstances.
Can you help sell me on HoI? It's my least favorite Paradox series.
Fixed.
Words... are a big deal.

You like Victoria 2, right? And World Wars? Think how awesome they will be smashed together.
More serious: It is my least favorite as well. Everything they have showed makes it look like they are getting rid of all (or at least most) of the tedious bits, streamlining the game, and making the UI not actively hate you.
I will posit that a game of any of the Big 4 Paradox series is better than almost any other game that comes out this year.
That's all I got.
(What I really hope for is a Victoria 3 announcement.)
I'd just like to see the CK2 roleplaying system applied to HoI - "General Zhukov - your wife feels your romance is growing cold. Do you want to buy her a falcon, or exile her to Siberia?"
You bastard, Tanglebones. :)

At least we're on the same page, then. I think world wars intimidate me, when it comes to that level of complexity. If I have a few decades to get used to my country first (a la Vicky 2), I might be able to hang with it.
Now THAT I would play!
Words... are a big deal.

I am looking forward to Darkest Dungeon a rogue like dungeon crawl game that focuses on the psychological stress of fighting monsters in the dark.

It's good to hear the Wii U getting some love from the podcast crew again. I think everything mentioned for the Wii U is something I'm looking forward to.
I'm also looking forward to the Grim Fandango and Majora's Mask re-releases since I never got to play them in the first place.
So many promising games this year
Guuuuys, that's not how quantum computers work
To be fair, when I think of quantum computers, I'm picturing something Sam Beckett can leap into.
