your best loot

What is the best loot you've found so far in the game?
for me, it was this beauty from Wailing Caverns.

Living Root
Binds when picked up
Two-Hand Staff
49 - 74 Damage Speed 2.90
(21.2 damage per second)
+2 Stamina
+12 Spirit
+5 Nature Resistance
Durability 90 / 90
Requires Level 20
With this weapon, my druid feels as strong attack-wise as my warrior from the beta. The +12 spirit is really useful for quick regen of mana during instances.

Holy crap! That is OK. I have been really unlucky with my main. I get a bunch of crap. I am looking forward to the instances for some good loot.

I found a kickass shield last night that I''m not at a high enough level to use yet. Don''t remember the name off the top of my head, it''s something something of the Tiger. The damn thing has a 235 armor rating on it! I stashed in the bank for the time being.
Edit: Are we talking about WoW only or all MMORPGs?
WoW Baelgun: Omusa, Spits
12 spirit, very nice. I got this one last night in the deadmines:

Emberstone Staff
Binds when picked up
Two-Hand Staff
47 - 71 Damage
(19.7 damage per second)
+5 Stamina
+8 Intellect
+5 Spirit
Durability 80 / 80
Requires Level 18
There are other MMORPGs?
Yeah for the most part we''re talking about WoW, but feel free to point out cool loot from the other mmorpg.

That''s a nice drop as well! Darn, when we did deadmines/VC we didn''t get that drop. Granted I was a warrior so the staff would''ve been little use. It seems like Wailing Caverns is equivalent to the alliance''s Deadmines. Do the alliance have anything similiar to the (15) Ragefire instance or is (20) Deadmines the first instance dungeons for alliance?

Got me one of these: http://www.thottbot.com/index.cgi?i=1836, but in a 19 pound variety.
As far as WoW goes... loot is awsome in this game. More than once did I loot something off the mob and actually replace the item on me as the loot was better. Not to say that what I was carrying was shabby either.
The best loot I''ve seen yet belonged to some level 10 char that swam all the way around the continent to some high level area and ended up looting an unprotected chest. He pulled a plate chest from it... min reqs level 49. I''ve actually seen the link to the item. 500+ armour, +15 to Str and Sta.

Moon.. same, except mine was a 19-pound bass (or was it 17? I forget). I was excited when I realized I could equip it and actually see my character holding it.. but then disappointed when I realized I couldn''t slap anything around with it.
Mr T broke the speed of light in the A-Team van because he wanted to prove that quantum physics was a bunch of Jibba Jabba.
Here''s my profile from closed beta (I''m still attached to my closed beta character *sniff*), got to level 58, so there are a few nice things:
http://www.thottbot.com/beta.cgi?p=Dethanc
(You can mouse-over to see the items.)
Some of that stuff was on my character for a long time. The staff came from Scarlet Monastery at around level 35. I was still using it 23 levels later, it was that good. The wand I found in Feralas. I''d seen one sell for 130gp on the beta server, but I kept that one for myself. The neck I believe was from the Arathi Highlands, off of a spider, and the shoulders came from the Blasted Lands. One of the rings came out of a chest I got while fishing or fighting.
Here''s my character in the live game:

I have the generic Crescent staff reward from WC, and the only other nice thing I have is the Warsong Belt, which is questable from Ashenvale.[/i]
WAR: Isembold (Volkmar)
My 10 Pally found this is Auberdine off a Crawler
War Torn Shield of the Bear
Binds when equipped
Off Hand Shield
239 Armor
4 Block
+1 Stamina
+1 Strength
Durability 50 / 50
Requires Level 7
Sells for 2 Silver 45 Copper to vendors
Being fangoriously devoured by a gelatinous monster.
No luck thus far in WoW. I don''t remember getting anything past green.
Lucky people.

Speaking of nice loot... had an awsome run last night. There''s a spot at the Excavation in Loch Modan where 2-3 elite level 19-22 mobs spawn in close proximity, along with some escorts. Definately not a place for a single, under 20, player. But, with a nice group, these things drop like flies and the loot they drop is exceptional. Lots of level 17 items. One-handed mallet that does 11.2 dps; two-handed mallet that does 13+ dps; couple of capes that have 17 armour on them; some nice enchanted leather belts; etc. There''s also a chest right next to the spot that is known to actually drop nice loot.

I found some beer and bottles of booze in in the Pirate Cove in KoL... does that count?

There''s a quest in Ratchet that yields either a really beautiful Engineer''s Hammer (a mace) or a 345 shield, level 12 or so. I cried making that choice (the mace won).

I''ve both killed and been killed by them a few times. Is there a quest for the named one at all? Gnarlgnash or something?
Do you ever walk alone like a drifter in the dark?
No idea. But I haven''t exhausted all the quests in that area yet. I''ve just done the first round where I collected the idols. And delivered the message back to town and then back to IF (did anybody notice how we are nothing but erand-boys/girls to the dwarves and we get nothing in return but attitude?). Now the guy in IF told me to go back to the town and escort a shipment of gunpowder back to the excavation site. I suppose my next task may be to kill those named elites.

The humans have a series of fed ex quests (as I like to call them) too. You run from lakeshire to stormwind to LS to sentinel hill to LS. And then there''s the dry times quest that has you going to goldshire, SW, SH and dark town (darkmoore?), luckily you can griffon directly back to LS from there but it''s cheaper to go SH then LS.
I''m now going to be concentrating in Lakeshire/Redridge, I only have Chok''sul left in LM but I needed to move on to a slightly higher zone so I can start flexing my skinning/leatherworking back into shape. I forgot to pick up the lens quest from the tower on the way so I''ll be picking that one up tonight along with doing most of the stuff up to bellygrub.
Do you ever walk alone like a drifter in the dark?
Yeah, what is up with the Dry Times quest? Those four items are expensive, it probably takes about 25s to buy them all. The reward better be good!
The reward is like 35-40s and an item.
Do you ever walk alone like a drifter in the dark?
Jadawin and I are on that now. Join us and we will take him down!
That quest worried me as well when money was tight but the reward makes up for it with a bit of profit thrown in for good measure.
Edit: Just a question, the first time you guys killed a mob that dropped more than one silver, did you like it? I liked seeing the shiny color of a higher coin on the corpse. Seeing 1s and 47 copper on an ogre in LM was great!

Yeah, so far on all the quests that have required me to buy goods I''ve more than recouped the costs.

OK, good to hear. It''s only a lvl 15 quest IIRC so was worried if the reward was going to make-up for the outlay or was I just doing it for XP.
It took me a second and a double take to say ""What was that!""
Little things like that are a very nice touch.

I once mugged a guy and took his prosthetic leg. I called it my Leg of +5 dexterity.
oh...you meant in an mmorpg. During the beta I got Pants of the Monkey.

Gloves of Meditation
Binds when equipped
Hands Cloth
25 Armor
+7 Spirit
Requires Level 21
I can''t recall anything amazing I''ve picked up yet ... got a lot of great Auction House items (yes, I am a junkie). I did get a wicked blue 20dps staff from doing the Van Cleef instance. Now that I''m in the Duskwood area (lvl 25 druid right now), I am finding drops that sell for 8-11silver which is nice, but since I''m an AH fiend, no drops have been an upgrade to what I have.
Warhammer: Haruspex / Marauder at large
Hmm... Not all may be at lost Robear. No idea where ratchet is, but if you are in the alliance, you can travel to Loch Modan and get the filthy paw quest. They offer a comparable shield.

I never did get the filthy paw quest in LM that I remember, is that only available to certain classes?
No but the guy is in the top of the north tower where you may not go usually. I think the quest giver is part of a lower level warrior quest but I""m not sure.
Filthy Paws
Do you ever walk alone like a drifter in the dark?
Oh! I did the miner''s gear, sorry ""filthy paws"" made me think of a bear paws quest.
