WoW collector's edition: shorted by Vivendi?

So, can anyone who pre-ordered the collector's edition of WoW verify that they received it? i pre-ordered through ebgames online, and got confirmation last week, but now i'm thinking i might be out of luck.

I ordered my WoW CE from EBgames.com. As early as this morning my account status said that it hadn''t shipped. However, right now it says it has not only shipped, but is waiting at home for me having been delievered at 9am. I''m going to lunch soon and will be able to go home and find out. I''ll post if I got it.
Just to let you know I ordered my CE really late, 1 week ago, so if there is any list I should be at the bottom of it.
I just picked up the CE edition at Best Buy this morning. They had about 15 copies of it. You might want to try there today.

The online portion of Best Buy has it listed as ''Backordered'' but I did an instore pick up very easily. I just received my confirmation on pick up status as a matter of fact.

If you have a Fry''s Electronics nearby they have tons.
The Fry''s in Sunnyvale CA has 2 displays of 50+ regular editions and 1 display of 50+ Collector''s Editions.

So in the ongoing drama that is my WoW CE pick-up, Best Buy literally just called me on cell phone and told me that they actually don''t have my copy in stock and it was a huge mistake and blah-blah-blah. Yeah, I''m really pissed.

I went to Circuit City this morning, they had no WoW anywhere, I was suprised. Of course, the had the new U2 cd and Harry Potter out in multiple places, both which also came out today.
So I headed down the street to Best Buy, browsed around the games, what is this? They still have the preorder boxes on the shelf! I am ready to leave and walking by the last aisle I see stacked on the end obviously out of place five copies of the CE. Picked it up and am happy.
EDIT: However I am very disappointed by the cloth ""map"". This thing is the size of a piece of paper and doesn''t tell you anything! It would have been much better if they took the maps from the manual and put them on here, actually had some detail.
In...my...hands......weighs about 10 lbs, between the binder/book and the CE.
The GameStop staff told me that there were 20 people waiting in line at 10:00 AM to pick the game up. I got the binder, as well as the CE which I had reserved.
Funny thing; I walked right into the store and up to the register- no wait- which was great. They are apparently sold out of the regular edition, as another customer saw that I was handed something and asked- they answered that they only had reserved copies.

The binder allows for loose-leaf updates and data to be added, as content is updated and changed. As well, apparently the whole strategy guide can be downloaded with authentication (from your strategy guide) on pre-laid out 3-hole punch pages.

FYI you dont need to buy the binder version to get the updates... updates will be available online in PDF form for anyone who buys a strategy guide Binder or not.

I went to EB games and they had no CE. Across the street at Futureshop, 4 CEs. I love my CE!

Well, to close up this thread, i did get my CE from ebgames through their oline ordering/brick and mortar delivery service. They were short on preorders for the CE though, and some got stiffed. They had 1 copy of the limited edition strat guide left, picked that up if only for the penny arcade stuff and the promised updates. I know, i''m a sucker.
Got online last night, short queue for the west coast servers. Hopefully they''ll get that sorted out soon. IT was a real clusterf**k though, fighting people for kills and trying to level up to where i left off in the beta (i only spent a day or two on beta).
Probably won''t be able to get on the GWJ server til things die down, that one was filled to the brim even at 10pm pacific time:)

I haven''t had a lot of time yet to paw through all the goodies in my CE box, but I have to say that the WoW Collector''s Edition is the most beautiful piece of work I''ve seen for a CE to date. I was amazed to find that the art book is hard cover. Very nice!
