DVD burner recommendations

I'm need to add a DVD burner to my system and am looking for recommendations on which one to buy. Ideally I'd like to keep price under $150 (under $100 all the better). It would be used to archive photos and create some performance videos for casts.

I bought the external Sony listed above and I have had no problems whatsoever with it, if you are looking external. Internal ones are listed there too, but I don''t have personal experience with them.
I have always liked and always been extremely pleased with Plextor drives.

NEC Dual Layer is like $70ish at newegg.com works great and I''ve never had a bad burn with it

I second the NEC recommendation. Nice price, decent read/write stats.
I read a roundup of 16X DVD writers recently, and Sony got bad marks for format support, IIRC. I could be wrong. I wish I could recall where it was, but I''m pretty sure it was either NEC or Plextor that ended up taking top spot along with being the best priced drive. Probably NEC.
I''m not dinging Sony, they make good electronics(because Caucasians are just too damn tall), but I definitely remember them being pushed out of the running in about 3rd or 4th spot. I''ll try to dig up the round-up, but don''t hold your breath. It was over a week ago.
