Invite Only, invites have been sent to the incumbents from tournament one. This tournament is far less aggresive: it begins a week from today on Wedensday the 24th and ends on New Years Eve. Obviously if we get rounds played before then, then we'll move on to tournament the next.

Tourny Name: GWJ Tourny 2

Apologies for my slacking on the later two rounds in the first tourny, I'll make sure I get them played tonight :/

I''m in. Chrap, Tel, did a Video Game Golfer steal a girlfriend from you or something? You must hate us! I like playing golf in the sun every now and then!

I can change them if there is enough outrage.

I do try to even it out so that there is an average difficulty setting. If weather isn''t so much a factor then difficult pins come into play, if the weather is bad, then pins aren''t as bad. If you guys want a shoot out you shoulda said so

I''m in! Where do I go to find out where I need to go, what to do etc. (I''ve already signed into XSN and linked).

Thanks!

(and you play this on your own or try to link up with folks or...?)

p.s. Fun time last night (Tuesday Night Links). Sorry for my
''safari'' play, but hopefully will improve. It was good to see
the ''masters'' at work --Thanks!

Donan, you can play with (only) one other person when you are doing tourney rounds. When the tourney starts you must go to XSN via Live, then join the tourney, then you must enter the setup codes for your round as you go to play it (available on the web page). You then set up the game, and can invite one other player to play it with you. I''ll look you up for a round of the new tourney, for sure.

A bit OT, but the signup process for XSN games is batsh*t retarded. Having to put in ""settings"" codes from the website with an xbox controller is probably the dumbest thing I have ever seen. It irritates me to no end. If it''s all connected, why do I have to write down cryptic codes from my monitor, and bring them to my tv and input them with an effing controller!? I really hope someone got fired for that one.

That was a humbling experience to say the least. Oh well. Better luck next time I suppose. Made me respect the performances by Mr. Green, Bagga, and Newt on those rounds all the more.

NS, huh? I''ve got post-it notes stuck to the couch in the living (X-Box) room with what looks like secret agent codes all over them. A parent of one of my wife''s piano students is going to report me to homeland security.

O.k Thanks Swampy (my Sensei for Links So to make sure I understand it, I have to run over to my PC to get these ''codes'' from their website. And that''s different then the password that Tel is showing for this particular tourney?

I''m in. Looking forward to it, although we''ve likely seen my high-water mark with the tie for second/third from the first tourney.

Bagga, if you are going to do well on your last two rounds, win the whole darn thing. Don''t fall between first and the tie for second. That would just be wrong.

Yes, you use the Tourney name and P/W Tel posted here to join the Tourney. Then you go on live and join the tourney again (using it''s name), so that when you sign onto XSN it''ll have a list of all of the turneys you can play in. Then as you play each ROUND, you have to enter the round settings (gotten from the tourney''s web page) into LIVE/XSN to set up that nights round. The ""settings"" entry is repeated each round, you only join the tourney twice (once via the web page, once via the XSN/LIVE. It sounds more complicated than it is.

They use that string to create the setting for your round locally on the xbox. It''s just lest work that the servers have to do. Though I''m not sure just having that round code downloaded to your xbox is all that much work for the server... but whateva.

see you guys on the home stretch.

Edit: Donan, I sent you an invite to the tournament. If anyone else wants in that I have not invited, please send me a PM so I can get ya in there.

Also: Is anyone not planning on playing in this one that played in the last one?

Trust me, I''ll do my best. However, seeing as how the wind in this tourney might take my ball to oz, I could very well come in dead last.

Couple more practice round''s and I''m ready to take the plunge in this, my first tournament with you folks. Is there a way to look at the last tournament you all played and see the final leaderboard, stat''s etc. (I like scaring myself by seeing how good the competition is And I take it it will be here that we will try and get together to play rounds with each other, right (although not necessary, but as Swampy say''s more fun.)

Donan and I just played the first round of the Holiday Classic. I will say without lying that I had TWO putts literally STOP on the lip of the cup. And one Eagle putt roll along/over the side on 18 and not drop.

Argh! The words of power were uttered a number of times. Still good to play with Donan, though.

Who wants to pair up with me for round 2? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

You were robbed! And actually I remember 3 times this happen. I mean the ball was literally hanging down into the cup on these

As for me, I was very disappointed with my +8. I played a couple times earlier and practice driving and it was going well. I just plained choked in competition. Matter of fact, after we played I played under the same conditions in an SP game and scored a 64. 14 fairway''s hit and 9 birdies. Geeze.

Anyway, as usual, loads of fun and I really got a good geological study of the lava pits Thanks for the pointers and such too.

Now do we have to wait till everyone play''s thru the first round to play the second? Do I need to set up a time with someone else or can these be played solo?

You don''t have to wait, you can buzz through all of them - but we try to wait, unless youi have a trip or something planned and need to play ahead.

You can play your rounds by yourself. I like trying to play each round with a different guy. Except Greenie. He steals things from my cart and bag.
