Oh good. More employees that can sue them.

This actaully is a good business move.
For EA, certainly. Whether it''s a good move for DICE depends on whether they get to keep their jobs after EA buys them out. EA''s not exactly . . . friendly, in that regard.

If I heard that EA was thinking about buying my company, I''d be polishing my resume. Good luck to all the folks at DICE.

wasnt it really small company anyway? In a sense that every employee could have shares of the company and couldnt care less whether EA came in shouting ''you`re fired!"" or not.

dunno...if they all get a few million or so out of the deal..could be a really good move for DICE.

I agree, unless DICE lets out one bad, or poor selling release. Anyone remember Westwood studios, or Origin for that matter?
To me EA is like the Darth Vader of the game world. Do well and they will promote you to admiral, but if you don''t meet their lofty expectations you find yourself on the floor gasping for air.

Ahhh, Westwood. I loved BladeRunner.

If they (EA) make a tender offer for outstanding shares of Dice Stock then the individuals holding DICE stock (employees, owners, investors, or whoever) get paid and agreed amount of $$ per share.
Thats it...done deal.. If EA chooses to employ any all DICE employees thats up to EA and/or Dice and employees..
Board of Directors usually moves on...since its now under EA parent..though sometimes in a deal you may see that happen differently...or they keep the board and the acquisition in a semi seperate state.
Point is.. money is exchange...there is no contingent on how well or not well Dice does afterwards.
That would effect employee''s of said unit that came across in the deal.
