FF2012: GWJFFL Week 10

No time to post from work and the home computer is still in sorry shape. If I get things sorted out at either location, I'll update this post but for now, check the links in my sig.

BYE WEEK: CARDINALS, BROWNS, PACKERS, REDSKINS

Flexible scheduling procedures

Thursday: Colts at Jaguars

----

Week 10 begins the second wave of divisional games so we're in the home stretch now.

Oh god, it's Aaron Rodgers' bye week... and given how garbage Christian Ponder is right now... I'm starting Blaine Gabbert in Dynasty! #holdontoyourbutts

For once, I posted my thread first!

How'd that work out for ya?

Hey, my other option was Ponder and he scored 4.45 points last week.

Compared to that, Blaine Gabbert was on fire with his 10.45 points.

Jeez garion. 45 points out of two players from Thurs night? I'm starting in one hell of a hole today.

I broke my "always start Tony Gonzalez" rule and it looks like it might bite me in the ass.

Early game injuries are the worst.

Between Gonzalez and Dalton, I have 61 points sitting on my bench. Add in Donald Jones (a player I've never started) and there's 78 points between three players. And, Gonzalez just almost got a third touchdown.

f*ck. Every player I play in platinum has crazy good games. Last week it was the Bears defense and their kicker. This week it's Joe Flacco and Greg Olson with 34 and 31 points.

Not my year.

Once again I find myself down 60 points needing a miracle. Whenever I make a lineup change it's the wrong one. Benched Fred Jackson based on the season ranking of Pats defense, and left 26 points on the bench. Chose Freeman over Rivers in head-to-head game and lost 19-27.

I just can't seem to do anything right this year.

Dude, you are 10th in points against. Stop complaining.

Screw Sidney Rice. Only two catches in the game, both touchdowns.

Stupid Cowboys keep scoring touchdowns on defense/special teams. I can't get points from Romo if he never gets on the field.

Screw Love Sidney Rice. Only two catches in the game, both touchdowns.

Fudge Daniels a game time inactive for a late game.

Guys! Guys! I have discovered the winning formula for fantasy football!

Spoiler:

Put the right dudes in your starting lineup!

Spoiler:

Sigh

Awesome:

In silver I am playing against the person who has, with 8 players done, the 2nd lowest number of points.

Not-so-awesome:
I currently have the lowest number of points, also with 8 players done.

I'm in four fantasy leagues, and my opponents are starting Ben Roethlisberger in three of them.

I don't follow fantasy stuff on Sundays (Sunday is for real football, fantasy is for the rest of the week) and playing in multiple leagues usually erases any real cheering for/against players factor. But in this scenario, I am pulling hard for Big Ben to tank.

Glad I used a roster spot to hold onto Danny Amendola in the leagues I had him in. First week back and he catches 11 passes. Welcome back into my lineup.

I'd just like to point out, skeptical mockers, that Blaine Gabbert led House Legion to a victory and the top score of the week in Dynasty, even if his contribution was modest. His leadership helped the other 9 guys perform their very best.

Blaine Gabbert, 1-0 in Dynasty.

Blaine Gabbert, 1-0 in Dynasty.

You should keep starting him. Ride the hot hand.

Had by far my worse game of the season and managed to sneak in a win there. Wasn't pretty, but on to next week.

Man almost squeaked out a win even with the late inactive.

You guys need to beat Legion, you dont want him to win this thing do ya?

Yes, we do! After last year's double-semifinal-losses-against-the-one-team-out-of-11-to-score-more-that-week, he deserves a win!

Well I've been eliminated from the division in Gold. Guess there's still a mathematical chance at a wild card, but it's not looking good.

I have faint in you making a wild card run.
