MinPenCon 2012 - It was Zouper (and still a little Fedorable)
It's the last year of existence and the last few months where I don't have kids to worry about so we may as well have a day of board games, right?
WHEN: 5-5 and 5-6
WHERE: Solon Springhill Suites
WHAT: I'll get a conference room for that weekend. We'll play some board games and have a good time. I figure a hotel is a good place to do it in case people want to come from out of town. They are providing a decent sized TV so I'll bring my Xbox, we can do a bit of that. Coffee, water and tea are free in the nearby lobby and we can bring our own food and drinks.
Please use this thread to ask questions in the meantime but eventually I'll ask for RSVPs and what people are bringing.
The room will cost me either $250 or $175 depending on how many rooms you guys get. We'll take some donations the day of.
The hotel has rooms reserved at $99 for people if you're interested. The online code is DEPDEPB

Absolutely. Somewhere in between the 50 degree sunny days and the 25 degree snow storms, we can get you down to Solon or Akron to play before MiniPenCon.

Just keep in mind you guys that, if you want to drive to Ohio just once, October will be the better time to do it =)
Pencon should still be 3 days this year whereas minpencon, just the 1.
But don't take that as discouragement, absolutely make that crazy drive! If we need to organize car-pool sign-ups again, we certainly can.

I think I can bring a couple jars... I am going to lobby hard that PenCon 2012 is not on the 3rd weekend of October this year... If it is 10/20 I can't make it... lets do whatever we can to move it up or down one weekend to either the 13th or the 27th. Not that I personally care which but if it is the following weekend I will bring fresh apple butter

It isn't up to me but I'll bring it up when the time comes to discuss it. And looking at the calendar for this year, it looks like the second week of October might be a bit better. It got moved up a week in 11 because a lot of the people who had a say in it had stuff happening on or around the 23rd. This year, it looks like the 13th might do it. We'll see. That conversation is still a few months off.
