Teaser Trailer For The New Bloodrayne Movie
It's awful. It's awful-awful. It's awful-awful-awful. It's offal.
And, of course, Michelle Rodriguez is in it. Ostensibly to play 'the tough chick".

Why the Christ did this get a movie version. The original didn''t sell all that amazingly, and the sequal is all but forgotten amid talk of bigger--most likely better--games.
That trailer made the movie look really, really bad. The most painful part about it, though, wasn''t knowing that people would have yet another reason to think of gaming as a kid''s [or a moron''s] passtime. No, the most painful part was seeing MICHAEL GOD DAMNED MADSEN degraded so...

Oh my god.. what was Ben Kingsley thinking? And the chick from Terminator3.. I mean.. what? who? where? what?
Okay, well really.. it''s hard to tell anything from those 1 second flashes. About the only thing I could tell was the trailer editor sucks. He should be fired.
About the only thing this movie has going for it is that Meatloaf and Billy Zane are also in it. How can they go wrong!
When Mr. T sends in his taxes, he sends blank forms and includes only a picture of himself. Only a fool audits Mr. T and everyone knows how Mr. T feels about fools.
I swear that Uwe Boll is trying to become the next Ed Wood...
I don''t know what''s worse, the trailer or seeing these talented actors stuck doing this travesty of cinema. I mean, Ben Kingsley was GANDHI! Gandhi! What the heck happened to his career that he''s stuck doing a crappy b-grade, should be ""direct to video"" terrible movie?

Who the hell keeps handing Uwe Boll checks to make this garbage? Also, I love Ben Kingsley. God help him.

Wow. That really did look bad. I honestly wasn''t expecting the trailer for an action movie to not look at least half decent. Yuck.

That looks terrible. I''m avoiding Resident Evil 2 like the plague, now I will avoid this like Small Pox.

The sound didn''t work for me, but I''m ok with that, because whatever Mr. Kingsley said at the end there certainly couldn''t have been better than what I imagined him saying:
""Please. Kill me. Preferably before the movie''s released.""
Ok, I''ve heard about this game but have not looked at it at all. I''m willing to give it a shot during this 3 day event. Any suggestions / tips for a complete Guildwards noob?
Holy cow. It''s not like I expected a lot, but this looks even worse than I thought it could be. Sure, it''s not the final footage, but it looks like one of these incredibly cheap flicks produced for the video market. In fact, it also somehow reminded me of the awful feel of these ''interactive movies'' that flooded the PC gaming market in the mid-late 90s.
Nonono, you''re going about this all the wrong way! You must ask yourself why it wouldn''t get a movie version. Afterall, it has:

Uwe Boll appears to be following one of Scott Adam''s more cynical principles: It''s better to screw up something big than succeed at something small, because the only thing that some particularly stupid executives care about is that you have *experience* in something, not whether you actually have any talent for it whatsoever. It''s insane and nonsensical, and unfortunately it works far too often.

Blade Trinity will make more at my local theater than Bloodrayne will nationwide.

I''m all for a good vampire flick. This certainly doesn''t look like it''s going to be one. If this trailer is the best that they''ve got to offer, it''s gonna suck.

My girlfriend is a stylist for some people who act/stunt in Uwe Boll''s movies. (Vancouver = Hollywood North = Huge Movie Industry) I''ve totally geeked her out with video-game knowledge, so she always brings this up with them.
Apparently he is some super-rich German dude who came out of nowhere with a boatload of cash. No one knows how he gets or has gotten his money. He tries to buy every single video game IP he can, but he isn''t too avid of a gamer. He does however ""like them""/
Apparently when shooting, he''s known for only doing one take - almost like a ""speedy"" way of doing movies. No time for mulling around looking for the perfect shot, it''s all fast-food to him.
Apparently a nice guy, and all the people who are part of his production are more than happy to receive his cash, even though they have to fake that they think his movies are awful.
One of the girls told my girlfriend that they are in serious need for extras when they start filming Hunter: The Reckoning, so me and my gf might be zombies in the next film. Apparently they have to put out ads in the paper for these extras because nobody wants to hang around the set for 2-3 hours in full makeup.
Anyone else in Vancouver who''s interested in being a video-game movie, let me know, should be a fun experience even if it ends up being sucky.

Doesn''t it rain in south west BC in fall/winter? So you left out standing around in the wet, cold damp air in mid-to-late fall in full makeup. I gotta tell ya, I''d find something else to do as well.

I''d be interested in that.

I think you guys hurt the trailer''s feelings, because it''s now ""service unavailable"" when I click the link. I wanted to share your pain, but now I can''t. So sad.

Well apparently the site with the trailer is down. I''m not sure if I should be relieved or upset.

I actually haven''t seen any of Uwe Boll''s movies.
I suppose I''m at least partially happy about that.
On the other hand I feel like I''m missing out on a good MST3K style experience. My favorite moment ever with our group of friends sitting down and railing on a movie was watching Lake Placid.
It was the part where they air-lift a cow with a chopper in an attempt to bring the alligator up out of the water. When they first lift the cow up off the ground and start flying around pretty fast with it, a friend actually asked ""I wonder what the cow''s thinking?""
And just as the screen panned back to the cow I shouted ""WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHOOOOOOOO!"" as loud and cheesily as I could.

Looks like it''s - maybe - an ""origin"" story? Set in the 1800''s by the look of things?
I''ll probably go see it. I''m an absolute sucker for period crap. I saw ""Arthur"" in the theatre, after all.

Most likely, ""Ah yes, finally the east wing of Kingsley mansion will be furnished as I intended.""
That or Mr. Kingsley is of the mind that all actors need a horrible movie to keep him up to speed with the ""common people"".

I did the MST3K thing to Chronicles of Riddick. I really hated that movie. I managed to have a conversation on whether Jim Raynor from Starcraft was black or not. I personally think he is mallato.

Really? I just saw CoR on the weekend and I enjoyed it. Wasn''t amazing, but I still found it to be decent. I think playing through Riddick on the Xbox and getting some of the back-story helped.
I think my expectations were lowered too, as everyone I talked to said they hated it. Low expectations going into a movie always makes it a bit more enjoyable.

If he were to make a post here, I think I would assume he was a) 13 or b) an idiot. Maybe it''s because it''s a second language, but his rambling doesn''t make it seem that way.
His argument is that gamers should support his movies, so we can get better game movies? How will supporting crappy game movies lead to good ones?
What I don''t get is, why do relatively big names like Tara Reid and Christian Slater sign up with this guy?
