Thanks for starting this thread Certis. I was going to, but the site was down this morning.

Well, I just warmed ejay up for you Certis. He had 3 turnovers against me, so he is likely to want to get revenge on someone...see if you can oblige.

I''m going to eat my veggies.

Yep 3 turnovers...seems like whoever makes the least mistakes wins when we play wabu. I need to play you again! We are 1-1. Btw Champ Bailey has ESP or Tarot Cards in his locker or something.

Dang that woulda been a heck of a lot easier if you told us who you play for, Neo (the answer, for the rest of you, is GB). Your opponent is Vega and his Giants.

Thank you, your work ethic is commendable and appreciated. Though as you learned, when it comes league affairs..I like to make things hard on the field and off.

Thanks Again!!

Gahh I got out of bed to play Grumpicus and got beat - I have no idea why I cant win with these guys in League play - I can play no problem outside the league... It was a good game until I fell apart and Grump shut me and Marvin DOWN - Ty Law rode Harrison like his personal pony...

That would explain those pass interference calls.

At the start of the game, you had me on my heels until I figured out that I had to double Reggie Wayne as well as Harrison (and call less zone to avoid mismatches). Even still, the short to medium passing game was fairly effective but as time got short, you decided (perhaps correctly, perhaps not) that you needed to try to air it out more... and those lobs were like candy on Halloween (sorry Stan).

Edit: Funny enough, none of Peyton''s (48.3) 5 INTs were caught by Ty Law. (G. Scott (FS), S. Mayer (FS), D. Reid (SS), A. Samuel (CB), T. Poole (CB))

Sounds like you need to learn to love Stokley (WR) and Pollard (your TE) a little more Spy and work to establish a strong running game with James.

I would love to work Edgerrin - except well he is out for 12 weeks with an arm fracture since game 1 So Rhodes and I are not doing too well running hehehhe.. Injuries are killing me in the leagues - the other league - I lost Rucker, Manning, Delhomme, Foster, Davis etc... flor a minimum of 3 games all at once ... Now I have Peete for QB and Davis and Foster back so hopefully I can get some love in the remaining games - yeah and I definitely under used Pollard...

Rhodes is actually pretty fast compared to James, he just can''t break the tackles as well. I''d work on running him to the outside and using that speed as best you can.

Good Game, Phragged. Thanks.

I was looking at the stats for the game. Looks like I was able to stick to my game plan and grind up allot of clock to keep the ball away from your offense and Mr Moss.

You are to be commended for your sportsmanship and restraint with Mr Culpepper. On two plays I remember you had a ton of green in front of him and threw the ball.

Man, only 4 playoff slots? The problem I see with that is that the ""league elite"", if you will, will have a lock on them as already shown in the standings.

You can run with the QB?

Not with Trent Green, you can''t. And Chad Pennington isn''t called ""The Juice"" around the Jets'' locker room either.

Ironic that you should respond to Neo by saying that Trent Green can''t run. Heck, he outrushed the Priest in both (ok, 1.5) games that we played.

Edit:[code:1:df6cea40a6]NAME ATT YDS AVG LNG TD
T. Green 5 68 13.6 22 0
P. Holmes 10 32 3.2 11 0

But QB running is NOT a bug people, Trent Green rushes like that all the time.

Oh, I''ve got no problem with it... though there are many in the online public who do... It just requires an adjustment in playstyle... like every team in the NFL who comes up against Mike, sorry, Michael Vick has to do.

To be honest, I didn''t know, and didn''t think it was one. To me Phragged running Dante would have been perfectly legit. When I asked him why he hadn''t he said that Certis had told him it was a flaw in the game. Which it may be, I don''t know, but I would think that having a ""running"" QB run would not be an issue. Running with Trent Green on the other hand....

I''ve run some pretty extensive testing with it and found that on 3rd and 10 you go four wide, hike the ball and 70% of the time you''ll have an easy opportunity to run a first down with your QB, even if your opponent spies three players on him or runs a close zone. I don''t have a problem with it in theory but I always worry it''ll be someone''s ""can''t fail"" play when the game is close. Yes, you CAN control a DB and use him tpo track the QB but you shouldn''t have to on every play just to lower the chance of Vinny Testervede running 20 yards because your team''s AI isn''t equipped to deal with it proerly.

I don''t know, I''m a bit touchy about keeping the games competitive and minimizing the kind of plays that wouldn''t make sense in real football. I don''t feel like it''s fun. I''d be more than happy to be proven wrong on this though.

No, you bring up valid points. I guess I don''t have a problem with it as long as it is a QB known for their mobility, and not over-used.

Well, I was almost shutout for the first time in my online football career by Ejay and his Ravens. They man handled my poor Bengals and held me to one fieldgoal with under a minute left in the game. Beware that Ejay character, he knows his Ravens well he does.
