GWJFL 2.0...

I hopped on over to the GWJFL 1 page and it's pretty hoppin with activity...even a strength of schedule! Meanwhile GWFL 2 is like a graveyard. Admin let's open up the page yeah? 
1 more game left in week 3, do we have an Eagles owner yet?
Btw there's been talk of a GWJFL 3 or combining the two leagues. Let's get talking on the the subject.
EJ, the plan is currently to keep 2 leagues running concurrently. After the championship, League 1 will restart. It will be called GWJFL Advanced and there will be a 5 day window for games instead of 7. Those owners that have been foot CONSISTENTLY dragging behind with their games probably will not sign up, as their interest seems to have waned.
The ""Advanced"" emphasis is on how much you want to play, not on your skill level, so anyone will be welcome as long as they commit to getting their games played in a timely manner (this is not to say that people will be dumped on if they have RL issues slow them down on occasion).
First we will do signups. Returning players will pick first, worst schedules going first Vega will pick with the Eagle''s record. The the fresh blood will get team picks. For the most part we don''t have allot of discord about team picks. Neo cries, but hey, he''s neo
And I''ll be sticking with the Jets so he''ll get his precious Tony G.
It should be fun, I am looking forward to it already.
And for the record, Grumpy, the displaced would be commissioner of league 2.0 gets the credit for keeping the GWFL site looking great. That is why he is the League''s Minister of Information and Propaganda.
I agree that the 2.0 league page should be opened up to promote work like Grumpy''s.

And, yes, my surprisingly (to me at least) poor start does impact that suggestion. But seriously, our options are to go begging for another team owner, or have Philly forfeit every game for the next 7 weeks.

I can''t find anyplace that I can award a win when one of the teams involved has no owner. That being the case, if no one wants the Eagles, I might suggest that we call a do-over and just move on to GWJFL Season 2.

I doubt it will help any but if said owner to be determined would be more enticed to play with the Patriots, I''d give them up and take over the Eagles. I don''t care either way. (Oh, and I''d be ok with a do-over, too.)

I''d rather play out the season, but a do over is ok...whichever. I can''t believe no one wants the Eagles! Maybe we could let Styx take them over til we find someone? Just so the season could progress?
Either way - it seems like just redoing would get us started quicker and we can move to the 5 day game cycle if all agrees - we have been looking for a new owner for 3 days now....

I need another game like I need another hole in my head, but I picked this game up today because damn you guys sound like you''re having fun with all this league stuff. Spy said something about a new league starting in about a week. Maybe if I don''t completely suck by then I''ll try joining.

Man I feel so lost playing this game, I pretty much just picked whatever the coach suggestion was and let the AI players do most of everything. Maybe if I check out some of the stuff in extra it will help me out.
