Brilliant. The funniest movie I've seen this year. Go see it.

It was pretty good. My wife said she just kept thinking to herself, ""I can''t believe they just said/did that.""

It''s funny and some guy likes to make models. If you liked MASK you should go just to see the models.

Given all the raves and cries of genius I came out disappointed. There were definitely funny parts, but overall I didn''t see it in the same light as everyone else it seems. South Park: The Movie ranks as a better movie, imho.

I''m really looking forward to seeing this. Previews, interviews, the word on the street. All good.

Marlin has a point and I had seen the ''bar scene'' on MTV when flipping around the other day, it was edited of course.

It''s still funny though and I think they managed to poke fun at almost every action flick in existence (I can''t think of that movie from the mid eighties where they had some stealth army with flying motorcycles and dunebuggies and sh*t).

I did have to get uppity on some ass who was talking and trying to be witty through-out the previews and kept it going through the opening credits until I asked him if he was going to shut up for (his words) ""the 90 minute preview"".

I do think SP-BLU had better songs (there were more of them in SP they seemed) but SP also had some history to build upon as a franchise prior to the movie release.

Yeah, some of it seemed flat, but as a spoof of action movies, it was pure gold. The music, however, was downright awful. Maybe I should cut them some slack since the guy had only a week to score it, but I know I''ve played the ""America, f*ck Yeah!"" song on my guitar, drunk and f*cking around. The lyrics were hilarious, but the music was awful.

There were some good lines

********* Spoilers ***********

""I will be like 9/11 times a thousand."" ""But that will be..."" ""Yes! 911,000""
or ""This is a man who will take your c*ck get on his knees and put it in his mouth.""
or ""All we have to do is read the newspaper and repeat what we read like it was our idea.""

lol, funny stuff.
Definitely no SouthPark, but still pretty damn funny in it''s own right.

Was there not stories on the original composer (from South Park BLU) being axed a week or so before the premiere and a new composer brought in to create new songs? If that is the case, the songs are a telling indicator that they were rushed. The first time you here the main theme you kind of smirk, but after that the music was pretty weak.

No way...

I couldnt stop giddily laughing for the first 25 minutes. The rest wasnt non stop laughing but had very hilarious parts. And no I didnt think they could keep up with nonstop laughs for the full 90 minutes but it didnt miss by much.

You could spend all day remembering the funny parts. You can definitely see why Sean Penn is angry with them. To be honest, however, if they were making fun of me, I would laugh because it was damn funny.

I watched this movie without preconceptions, and found it to be unfunny, boring, poorly put-together.

It seems that today''s hippest excuse is ""YOu see it doesn''t REALLY suck, I just made it suck to parody of other things that TRULY suck !""

Excuses nonwithstanding, the result however is the same - an abomination that tries to be funny and fails.
No movie is without redeeming moments, but in this one, there just aren''t enough of them.
It should''ve gone straight to video.

One of the reasons I was disappointed with Team America is that I think Parker & Stone are capable of better satire and commentary than the gratuitous vomit scene (which, I admit, I laughed at). The animated short in Bowling for Columbine, for example, demonstrates great talent for the decisive commentary that was sadly lacking in T.A. (imho).

Too bad that the movie won''t be out over here before Dec. 30th. Good to hear that it seems better than its trailer, which I found rather lame and unfunny.

ROFL. Oh god, the celebrities cracked me up. I had some buddies over to watch football yesterday, and every so often someone would belt out ""America!"" And everybody else was like ""f*ck Yeah!"" in the generic c*ck rock voice. And then we''d fall over laughing.

I guess you had to be there.
