I am reading "A Long Short War" by Chris Hitchens. I'm waiting for the next Harry Potter book.

You?

I''m waiting for my sister to introduce me to the girl that works at Border''s so I can buy deep and thought-provoking books.

I was thinking more along the lines of The Language Police (basically how the Right and the PC crowd ruin standardized testing). Sounds like a fun read, but since I read late at night, I''m afraid my cries of ""WTF?"" will wake the whole house.

I''ve read it. It is a sad book that everyone should read. It really hammers both sides which is great.

I''m currently reading ""The Salmon of Doubt"" which is a collection of writings from the now deceased Douglas Adams, it also has several chapters of the Dirk Gently book he was working on.

After that I plan to reread Robin Hobb''s Farseer Trilogy and Liveship Traders trilogy. She is only slightly behind (very slightly) George RR Martin as my favorite fantasy author.

My days of not taking you seriously have certainly come to a middle.

Hitler: Nemesis, Ian Kershaw, pretty good read although tedious but I guess that''s a precursor for such books.

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible c*nt... me! - Brick Top

John Ringo''s ''Aldenata'' (sp?) series. Great military sci-fi. Certainly isn''t going to win any literary awards, but heck...it''s got Powered Combat Armor, relativistic grav-guns, and great alien bad guys. Not to mention the skyscraper sized, battleship-cannon carrying, SheVa ''tanks''.

He's one of God's own prototypes. Some kind of mutant never considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
