I meant for your main character. That way we can choose a side as a group so that we can game together in WoW. Also depending on the server we play on, we can only create characters on one side or the other.
Since I will be playing both with the GWJ folks and with my own guild it really does not matter to me. I will play wherever the GWJ folks go because I will have a variety of players.
But since I am naturally a ""good"" aligned person I am going to say Alliance.

Horde, because most people will be playing Alliance
I''d say it''s a pretty even split in the beta but that''s not based on any real facts.

Yes, the wife has played right up to about level 47 on Alliance so far, she''s going to have at least one horde character and she''ll probably bend us all to her will. Don''t worry though, you''ll learn to like it after a while

I saw some charts from the stress test over on worldofwar.net that indicated that at least during that time, the Alliance enjoyed a pretty substantial numbers advantage. That''s the only reason I said that- I''d love to be proved wrong. Personally, I can play either side.

Wait, just because your wife burned herself out on Alliance characters, we''re all going to have to.....oh all right. Gotta run, wife''s calling...
I am hoping that Blizzard will implement a neutral faction. I would really like to play as a druid and then get into squirrel form (permanently) and throw nuts (preferably cashews) at newbies all day. That is my idea of roleplaying.
I''m okay with either. I played mostly as a Dwarf last time so I think I''ll go for a different race regardless. Horde, based on my brief experience as an Undead, seemed pretty cool.
An old Marine Corps buddy of mine and I were talking about playing horde, but if need be I''ll have a character for local friends and an alt for GWJ. This may be the game that gets me into MMORPGs.

Remember, you cannot talk or interact in anyway (except for fight against each other in PvP) with members of the other alignment. Not even send a tell or friendlist invite.
I''ll choose whatever the majority of GWJ chooses, being the sheep that I am. I usually play Dwarves, so I voted Alliance.
Does the No Tells or Invites extend to the Guild also? If so we might have to fragment into two guilds. We could do ""Heroes with Jobs"" and ""Villains with Jobs."" to accomodate both groups.
This could get interesting should we go PvP.

I''m fairly certain that you can''t have a character created for both factions on the same server. So if you go Alliance on the same faction that GWJ plays, and GWJ plays Horde, it is impossible for you to interact with GWJ _at all_ unless you delete all of your alliance characters and rolle up a Horder.
I enjoy playing a warlock (despite the common perception that they''re currently gimped), and I like playing undead. My beta one is up to level 44. I''m tempted to play other combinations for different game content when the game goes live, but an undead warlock will probably still be my main. So Horde for me.

Marlin had both a Dwarf and an undead on Ysera, so for non PVP servers at least I suspect it''s no problem to have both, which is good.
If I buy it, I''ll play Alliance mostly, but will try Horde too, they look cool. Besides, Blizzard has done a good job of making Orcs and Tauren somewhat conflicted anyway.
I dunno though man, I''m REALLY reluctant to break that no monthly fee barrier. If Guild Wars and WoW came out closer together I''d probably just get Guild Wars, but seeing as WoW looks to debut first, and I''ve spent way too much time listening to you... enablers, I''ll probably break my vow and bite the bullet.
Aren''t they going to lock you to one alliance per shard?

That video makes me want to play on a PvP server. The battle seems really intense and more dynamic than against any npc even the elite ones. 2 lower level shamans fighting a warrior, a mage, and a paladin one by one. The paladin was pretty good but couldn''t really kill them because as soon as he goes after one orc shaman the other shaman would attack him from behind. Also those Totems seem really annoying to fight against. Should he have went after those each time they''re created or tried to kill one of the shaman off first?
you forgot both.
I will create a character on each

It''s all about the Paladin, so it''s all about the Alliance.
I''ll probably have a Troll Warlock as my secondary.
EDIT: HAHAHA... but apparently I''m on crack, because apparently I clicked on Horde. So, the poll should now read: ""Results are accurate +/- 1""

Dwarven Warrior is what my main is going to be.
